You said the G is more aggressive from the factory, but I said it wasn't. lol

On paper there isnt that much difference btwn the G35 and the 335i from the numbers Edmunds posted. It also appears there are mixed results about perfomance on the track once the cars are in motion (curves included). My take is stock for stock, the cars are not that different in performance, the 335i has a slight edge due to the way it takes off from stop (its not NA). However, looking at the entire package e.g. interior, reliability etc, the G appears to me like the stronger candidate for someone like me who does not mod cars. Once you factor in pricing, it becomes a no brainer. However, for those who mod cars, the results are different.

There is just something good about being able to say that, my car is very close in perfomance to a 335i for 12k less (then add back up camera, then add perforate seats, then add reliability, then add.....) That is the beauty of the G.

G37USR, your approach could have been better, LOL but you have to be careful here. More people are in love with the 335i than the G, so choose you words very carefully. But welcome, let us know how the new car feels

It's not a matter of who loves what car.
My only point is that a new member shouldn't join a forum and than call one of the respected long-time members stupid.

I may have misread the post, or taken it in the wrong context.
It's all water under the bridge.

Welcome to the forum, btw.

I think you understood his post very well. The guy assumed this is a G forum where the majority of the guys dislike the 335i, unfortunately that was the wrong assumption and to make matters worse, he chose the wrong guy. LOL, he chose the one guy who owns both cars, this is like entering a bar and choosing Mike Tyson for a fight, LOL. I agree with what you said though.

I love both cars,

I got G35 Sedan, my buddy got G37 coupe. My bro in-law got 335i Sedan and His wife got 335i Coupe.

I was fortunate enough to test-drive them all and conclusion was.

They both looked dead sexy, but if I had a little more cash I would go with BMW, not only it's faster, but its cheaper if you are planning to increase more HP. Upgraded ECU alone can make this car really fast, and 335i Torques are crazy!

If you are planning to cruise around, put some nice rims like I did, I definitely pick Infiniti. BMW maintenances I heard it cost a lot more, but some people got a deal when oil change and other stuff are free for certain miles/years.

Honestly I love both car, they are both great cat and you can't go wrong with any of 2.

Haha. I've been trying for a few weeks but Ian finally got it done for me. It's related to the stuff I told you over PM a few weeks ago

I've said it before many times: BOTH are great cars and each has it's own distinct advantages. But, equally optioned, the 3 will outperform the G. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise

I think the next "335i vs. etc etc" should just be answered with "Go buy the 335i" and the thread closed.

I think Car and Driver and BMW are for sure in cahoots. BMW has been playing a lot of radio spots here in Houston where they talk about the BMW going up against its rivals in a magazine article and that the final decision was that "the bmw is unrivaled". they talk about how it's such a great value, at almost 10K less than competitors and all that.

my first problem is that the infiniti was BARELY nudged out. and that that Audi was optioned out of it's ***, which made it ridiculously expensive - so yes the BMW is more expensive that THAT car, but is overall much more expensive

Oh well, it is great advertising for them. But hey, if people wanna buy more 3-series go for it its a great car, but it just makes my G stand out more
