Motortrend VS Car & Driver

Comparison of S550 and the new 7 series, very different results from both magazines. I am not here to judge but makes for a good read.

Motor Trend
1-S class
2-A8
3-7 series (the guys were simply not happy with this car)

CD
1-7 series
2-S Class

And I have no problem with that, but if you read what MT says about the 7 series, similar comments having been made on Edmunds as well, it just makes it all the more interesting.

Anyways I cant even afford the cars in this league.

Has anyone noticed that CD has very few people commenting on their website than MT. I never leave comments on CD as I dont read their articles but just focus on the short summary with the performance #s, MT I do read though and have left some comments on their site.

I prefer R&T over both of them. C&D is pathetic. MT is OK. I wish we could have really good car magazines like EVO here in the U.S.

In C&D's defense, the comparison was close between the two, but the leatherette int he bare bones 328i tester helped seal the deal and the 328i got the nod.

C&D is awesome, they would pick a BMW over any competition any day of the week and traditionally they absolutely hate Japanese cars. I am pretty sure they would pick a BMW 135 convertible over the GT-R V-spec given the chance to do a ridiculous comparison.

C&D's senior editor would order a 128i over the 135i just to make the victory only slightly marginal.

Motortrend is much better than C&D. Im so sick of their crazy bias..

They are like "THe G37 has more power, more room, more options, its cheaper, its faster, but we chose the 3 series becaus eof its feel, and that makes it king"

What a bunch of BS.

i've been subscribing to C&D for a few years now and i gotta say i'm disappointed. And this isn't to take anything away from BMW at all, i'm a Bimmerhead myself.
I really like their coverage, but their "verdicts" are full of crap.
Remember back in '03 they said they didn't like the sound of the G coupe's exhaust?? Ridiculous.
