Cool site. I saw a yellow one in a parking lot on the weekend. It actually looked really good from the outside, especially in yellow. I think GM did a pretty good job on this. I think it is the best looking Camaro since 1970.

I saw two of them at the Austin American Statesman Car Show a couple of moths ago. The outside looked amazing, but once I sat inside I was disappointed with how ugly the interior was. Sorry it was just not my taste.

+1 Ilike the retro-styled exterior, but it looks so much bigger and heavier than the 60's models. Most GM interiors are pathetic for the $$$ they cost. Don't they ever look inside imports?

A guy in my GM performance club just picked his up. He took me for a ride it in. Fantastic car. Rides and handles beautifully. The interior is extremely impressive. I'm 6'4" and I had plenty of leg and head room. The iPhone hook ups and OnStar are awesome. GM did their homework with the ergonimics and fit and finish on this car. Just when I thought they would axe the Camaro so save some money, I think the Camaro is here to stay.

I wouldn't be so sure about that...

The interior in the Camaro is a love/hate interior. It's a nod to the 1969 Camaro's interior, so fans of the '69 Camaro love it.

I think everyone understands the retro exterior design but not the retro interior design.

If people thing GM isn't in the interior design game, take a gander at a CTS interior. Pretty nice and pretty highly rated by reviewers:

Interiors

Once the Japanese see this new trend as being a threat, they will simply step up their game and it will be lights out for GM again. Lexus/Infiniti know how to craft interiors, the former uses 1st rate materials and the latter knows interior layout very well. The only people who will be left out will the the Germans, in a bid to save costs (given their cars are already expensive to make) they tend to cut corners in the interiors. The coming years will be fun, GM will be competing heavily in the luxury space, the Japanese with their cost advantages will not be far behind, and the Germans, mark my words on this, will be increasing the prices of their offerings. Got to love competiton.

lol right. I can't even think of the last innovative thing the Japs have come up with in recent years. Plus the upcoming Ford V8 looks to be very, very advanced getting the gas mileage of a diesel engine.

Most folks on this board are probably completely unfamilar with GM's rheo magnetic shocks (Ferrari buys them from GM to use on some of their cars).

Here is one.

Then there is the 3.8l twin turbo v6 found in the GTR

Yes, GM is doing OK, but remember, the competition is not going to lie down, they will simply step up their game.

IIRC (and I could be wrong) Infiniti was the first to offer the birds eye view in their navigation. Also, the Around View Monitor, Lane Departure Prevention System, and Scratch shield paint were all industry firsts and fairly innovative IMO.

Back to the Camaro though, I saw one for the first time up close last week and I found it to be much better looking in person than in pictures. I can't comment on the quality of the interior but I wasn't all that partial to the look and layout of it.
