Looks okay but I'm pretty sour on Fords, having owned 3 in the past ten years and experienced their service and problems. That said, I did briefly consider an AWD Fusion a few years ago, since it's essentially a Mazda6, but for the same price I could get a nice used G. So I did!

If I were looking for an AWD family-ish sedan, I'd pay a little more for a G37XS or maybe even a Cad CTS4. (or maybe not)

While I do thing this is a pretty good car, that argument holds no water. With direct injection and a pair of turbos it only makes 28 more hp than a G37?

Deal breaker:

4400lbs curb weight!

No matter how good it is in a straight line, with gobs of torque from that FI V6, it'll still handle like this...

It is kind of disappointing to see a car with the SHO nameplate weigh as much as it does. The original with the Yahama V6 and some suspension mods was a really nice car to toss around for a family sedan. While I'd be interested in driving one, I don't think I'd be interested in owning one.

I'd be interested to see this engine in a small coupe / roadster application. Ford needs one, imo...and the mustang isn't it.

I've got a modded 92 SHO for my DD. I love it and have never had any problems with it. 222 stock HP from a 17 year old 5 speed sedan isn't bad. With it's current mods I'm able to pick off the 1/4 in average 14.5 @ 97 mph. Again, not bad for a 17 year old sedan.

I will definitely be test driving a 2010 model when I can and may even purchase one in the future.

Do you know, roughly, how much the 1st gen weighed? I can't remember. If you test (and maybe even purchase) one, let me know how that goes.

the early 90s SHOs kicked ***. They weighed at least 1000lbs less than this hog, even with FWD i bet it could outhandle the new SHO.
