^ during rush hour (7am to 8pm, lol) the 405 in LA is worse than NYC traffic thru Columbus circle and is on par with getting thru times square and/or broadway in the financial district. The only traffic that i've seen worse is the 93 to Storrow Drive interchange in Boston...friggin' nightmare!

i can attest to this. I was driving home the other day in my m3 and minding my own business, then traffic ahead of me cleared up so I downshift and punched it a little. As soon as I did that, I heard a big tire squeak from my right side and I though damn, something wrong with my car? I started looking around checking and tried to feel if something happened to my car but I couldn't figure it out.

Then I looked to my right and noticed a maximas came up behind me. The dude looked at me and gave me a dirty smiles. Then I realized that he was the same guy who drove beside me in traffic a couple of seconds ago. SO basically he was trying to race me and spin his tires hard, lol.

I didn't race him though, Just mind my own business and moved on.

they would tailgate you as if they could brake in time. a 2.5 tons SUV will take a long time to brake, but these idiots don't and never get it. Also, they don't yield if you signal to change lane, etc. wtf where they thinking? I saw couple of drivers in smaller sedan almost got run over by them.
