This is how he starts his review, right there and then you know its not going to end well, LOL.

Now I respect the godfather of car reviews but I think he could have given this car a better score. (FX50 got a 1 out 5 from the man)

He says stuff like the car is not that fast. I understand how a man who drives a V12 Aston Martin can say this but come on, this is an SUV that does the 0-60 as fast as the 335i (CD 0-60 5s, 335i around 5s, maybe 4.9s). I have not seen any magazine that rubbishes the FX50's handling but JC was not happy.

I have driven the new FX35 without sport and it does handle very well for an SUV. My cousin has one and i love driving that thing.....

Jeremy usually gives bad reviews to SUV's which are not much better then Normal Sedans/hatches. Since theirs only 2 rows of seats and a small trunk.

We have an FX35, it is my wife's ride. She loves it. I hate it. It rides and drives awful. It is rough as hell, way to stiff, blind spots and sucks gas something fierce. The finish inside is quite nice and it has aggressive looks but I detest the thing. But then, I detest most SUV's. Crossovers make no sense to me but they are not marketing them to people like me.

If you like JC, then what he says can be funny.
If you don't like him, he's an abnoxious, pompous buffoon who's only moderately funny at times.

Being English (born), I find him funny but have learned to take what he says with a grain of salt and try to take what he writes as strictly entertainment and something to chuckle at. Not necessarily close to reality. I really don't think it's meant that way.

Take what he says with a grain of salt, but mainly in the spirit in which he writes

+1 There is no point to an SUV that is the same size inside as a car, other than to maybe feel self important.

Not getting into the SUV debate again. Once you own one that actually works for its dedicated purpose, (IE, not an FX or a crossover with minimal interior space and towing capacity that lacks) you will understand why they are around.

I like the FX50S, and cant believe he hated it as badly as he did. And i noticed that too that he only made like, 2 paragraphs about the actual car.

^Yea, I made allowance for the big ones I still don't like them, but I can see why others would. It's the small ones that are useless.

The small ones are useless to some. I dont like most of them, personally, but some people live in wintery states and want that extra room they provide over a wagon.
