I can't decide between IS350 vs G37 sedan....

first, on looks.....

The IS350 has a cheap toyota look. esp at this angle:

G looks like a beast:

So G wins here.

But the G has cheap materials in the front bumper area. ,
Actually, the G has cheaper materials all over. Just compare the plastic on the inside of the doors... god the G feels cheap.
It feels like it was designed as a cheap Nissan first, then tagged with Mt. Fuji.

Now the big issue for me is...... I'm looking for a non-nav G, and the G is more expensive....... and it doesn't deserve to be, all things considered collectively.

a stripped IS350 costs $37625. (it comes STANDARD with all of the features of the G premium package, and then some.)

base IS350 is the equivalent of a Journey with premium package, which costs ~$37200. +/- and it still doesn't have 18" rims.

but wait...... you can easily negotiate 13% off a lexus, which makes it $32733.

without considering incentives, you can get 10% off a G if you try hard- $33480, which is more expensive than the Lexus now.
But even with $2500 incentive, I still don't think the G journey feels like a $31000 car.

in sum, I like the looks of the G, and the G is more exciting.
but it feels much cheaper than a lexus and doesn't deserve to be priced the same.

I also know Lexus service is better. If you need something fixed, they won't give you the runaround. Lexus HQ is less likely to deny you like Nissan has.

do you think your G is worth the money?

How??? When I was comparing these cars, the G was much closer in price to the 250, and was certainly not more than a 350.
It would be an interesting choice to make if the G was the one that is more money, but usually the 350 is more, and it's a very very easy choice

I hate this comparison, but here is my 2 cents.

1) I am glad the G is worth the same as the IS350, cool
2) The interior layout of the non Nav IS350 is not as great as in the G. However you are right about the materials, the G's are cheaper.
3) I had an IS250 so I understand what you mean by the door materials, but here is the thing you miss, when you are seated in the IS, you do not see the hard plastic that is below the door handle. This is because the IS has much less room than the G. However when seated in the G, you see all the hard plastic under the door handles, giving the impression that there is more plastic around you.
4) Inifiti service is just as goos as Lex, it depends on the dealer. I know what I am talking about as I have driven the IS250 before.

You are right, the IS350 is more refined than the G, everyone here will agree with you, but there is one thing all of us here chose over the IS350. If you do not know what it is, then the IS350 is for you.

Good luck with your decision

Which one is lighter has more bhp/ ton and which handles better?
I drove a 250 once and it seemed wayyy underpowered and wayyyy to heavy; tho I kno the 350'll be faster, i doubt it will be as nimble as the G
drive both, let us kno

Have you driven both cars extensively.
That could be the deciding factor for you.

I have driven both.

The IS is quick. But the steering reminds me of some old man cruiser. The interior is so cramped that i feel clostrophobic. I just dont think it looks as good as the G IMO.

G37 is a rocket. I love the new VVEL engine. Thing shoots out of the hole like a race car. 7 speed is a definate plus too. IDK how the 350 is cheaper than the G. Around here they are all in the 40s.

Hell, id take an 08 G35 over the IS350. i just prefer them. Ill take a few cheap plastics (that dont even look that bad) in favor of a quicker car, with more space.
