G35 vs E46 M3

Any have any run ins with an E46 M3? How'd that turn out? Im in LOVE with the E46 M3, but I wanna know if our G35 Coupes (or sedans) can hang with one. And if so what is done to your G to make it stick around with a BMW icon.

You'd need just about every bolt on in existence just to hang with a stock M3....if that...lol.

^what he said..

With the right NA mods you can hang with by driving close to perfect. I have smoked plenty of convertibles and coupes always gave a good race with my 04 sedan...

I got raped by a Hemi 300C. He was acting funny behind me, so I let him go in front so I could check out his guns, he had removed all markers and it just looked like a non hemi 300C. I was like this is gonna be a breeze, he let me go in front just a little and the raping started OMG. I would have never attempted it had I known it was a Hemi. Morale of the story, dont set yourself up for rape

I rarely would ever race someone but I got a hemi 300 that had some 22's or 24's on it. It must have been the rims that slowed it down.

that must have been a SRT8 not 300C. I used to beat them (by not that much) back when my G was close to stock.

From stop, he was ahead of me but I ended up ahead of him, prior to that I had been raped but not by much, I attributed it to the curves we encountered. When I looked up the specs, the Hemi will do 0-60 in under 5s so I just assumed he gave up and let me win. We did have a nice discussion at the light though so it ended well and was sweet & short. I dont know how it plays out in the grand scheme of things, mabe the G is faster or the Hemi is faster, but I what I experienced at a certain point was rape

I would not advocate racing as well, I assumed this was a guy with the lesser 300Cs so it would end in like 5 seconds, obvioulsy I got a good lesson from the guy.

That is most certainly what raped me, for sure the guy just let me take it in the end, LOL. Thats a smart idea to have a sleeper 300. I am normally very good at avoiding the big guns but there was no way in hell I could have known I was barking up the wrong tree. If I ever meet the guy I want to buy him a beer for teaching me a very good lesson

This subject has already been posted numerous times at the Drag sub-forum. Feel free to contribute to those threads.

And unless it pertains to a legal race track, please keep the "kill stories" off of these threads. Thanks!
