It happens... The GTR has AWD and a Sequencial Transmission on it's side while the Vette has 638hp and lower curb weight on it's side.

And the GT-R also costs much less. GT-R Please.

Correct, but the Vette is also much faster in a straight line and has GIGANTIC carbon ceramic brakes( which by themselves are the reason why the ZR-1 is more expensive...Just look at the price difference between the GT-R and the Spec-V. ). It's just has too much torque to compete in the corners with an AWD car.

So in the end you have a car that is just as quick in the nurburgring as a GT-R, can beat a GT-R in a drag race, BLOW THE DOORS off the GT-R in a street race, can out-brake the GT-R and is only limited by the fact that it has runflat tires on the rear end.... Vette Please.

While I love the GT-R, LPE already has a 750whp ZR-1 with only bolt ons ( stock long block, stock supercharger..heck, even stock exhaust! ) running 10.0 at over 140mph. GT-R is not quite in the same league ( Though close I'd admit ), closest I've seen to the LPE Vette has upgraded turbos and probably a G37's worth in mods.

All of this is true, I acknowledge it and am not biased fan-boy (Maybe to a small extent), the ZR-1 is an amazing car, but I would take the GT-R for the look, lower price, and cornering ability(AWD). I plan on tracking my cars, not street racing and straight-line. ZR-1 destroys the GT-R in a lot of aspects though.

Worst thing in the world is when someone says they rather have a certain car just because of the cars brand so more power to you.

I'm saying that I would personally take it, not that I would recommend it over the ZR-1. I would recommend the ZR-1 to someone else, but I would still buy the GT-R just because of the looks. I don't care what brand it is.

Why do people take 'Ring times to be so conclusive? Times can vary as much as 0-60's and 1/4 miles do. Just because its large and challenging doesn't mean its going to reproduce consistent times.

Unless you are running a few cars on the same day with the same driver, its pointless to compare times.

Are the times listed on the article all within the same day? If not, these times are nothing more than numbers.

There are also articles that state that Nissan ran a 7:27 AND a 7:26.

My point was this is the first 3rd party independent tester that ran both cars around this track.

Still looks like a Chevy inside?

Fast car that from 50 feet away looks like every other Corvette on the road.

Same day/driver/conditions? If not, its no better/accurate than previous comparisons.
