Wooohoo.R36 Nissan GTR coming up!

Quote:
Report: Nissan Exec Confirms R36 Replacement For GT-R

The development and launch of the current R35 Nissan GT-R was an epic achievement for the Japanese automaker. After all, Nissan was able design and engineer a sports car capable of outperforming exotic supercars with pricetags twice as high, as well as make it seat four adults in relative comfort and be easy to drive everyday.

A series of planned updates of the car should allow the GT-R to remain supreme for some time to come, and this will reportedly include the introduction of a brand new model around 2013

That sucks. I just purchased my R35 Spec-V on NFS: Shift. I even gave it 650hp.

Thumbs up

This is GREAT news!
Not so much about what the R36 will be,
but the fact that Nissan is still putting $ into performance cars instead of just milking the R35.

Old news. I fear that the "R35" will end up being the "R33" between the R32 and R34. I'm glad I didn't have the money when the R35 came out to purchase one.

^ as the first GT-R brought to the States and the first that's not based on a Skyline platform, the R35 is a modern classic IMO
i had my doubts about the R35 at first, but they managed to turn the GT-R name from an M3 like badge to an exotic like badge

as for an R36, i'm glad Nissan is staying true to performance, looks like they're the only Japanese automaker making real cars nowadays
