^^^they had a cap price of 50K and the s4 dropped about 4k off its price from 2008 to 2010 models putting it in the price range of the 335.
I agree that it should've been compared to the M3. Just cuz the car isnt selling at its competitions prices, it has to go pick on its competitor's baby bro.

Interesting, never thought I'd see a bimmer lose a C&D comparo. Both are sweet cars, but I'd take the S4 without hesitation.

the boy has a point...
FI 6 cylinder engine for each; although an RS4 probably won't make it to the States to be compared with M3 sedan... Personally, I'd go with the Audi because a.) they're less of them on the road (I like feeling a bit on the exclusive side) and b.) gotta love those LED daytime-lights...

It is extremely obvious once you read the article that there is a lot of funny math going on here to make it work. They took a low 40K car compared it to a 50K car and played with the numbers to make it sound like it's a fair comparison but it made them look more like jackasses than anything else. With quotes like:
"Forget the Audi’s as-tested price of $59,425 and the BMW’s $49,320 tab." You know its full of sh!t. Worse car articles ever written by C&D (that's saying a lot). Half of the article is filled with contradictions and defending their judgment on even comparing the two cars. |

Maybe this is why they compared them:
