LOL@ the idea that a G can handle better than an Evo.

OP, sounds like you know what you want, so go with it. I think you'd be completely happy with and Evo.

I have an IS300, and yeah the lux factor is great, but damn I wish I could go out and get an Evo IX.

I used to own a built twin turbo G35 coupe and now own a modded Evo X MR....The G was fun in a straight line, decent amenities (03), fun to powerslide, etc...but, I am more than happy with my choice and will never look back.

The Evo is very easy to mod, handles unbelievably well, and it just an all-around fun car to drive that's also very practical. And I love the twin clutch transmission!!

Yes, let's compare a stock evo X that runs pig rich from the factory to a modded G35 The Evo will be twice as fast for half the money you spent on your G35.

Both cars have their advantages, but IMO the Evo is 100x more fun to drive every day and the interior on the MR isn't too shabby either.

With bolt-ons I ran a 12.6 in my X MR...I'd like to see a G do that without FI...

^The Evo needs FI to go that fast. Lets strip the turbo off and see what it runs. Probably slower than my moms pickup truck.

No replacement for displacement.

It may be dumb, but it is true isnt it? Evo and Impreza would be nothing without turbos. I know guys with full boltons on a regular 2.5 Impreza, and it is still extremely slow. Atleast the G can pull off some credibility while NA.

That 2.5 Impreza's chassis is still superior to the G's.

Go to a technical course, and the G won't have a chance.

so you think the G has more "credibility" because it's NA and has 6 cylinders? There IS a replacement for displacement and it's called a turbo...you sir are a moron.

The G doesn't have more credibility because its NA, but there is also no replacement for displacement.

And I own a Honda.

My friend has an 08 EVO X GSR which is the 5MT. When he was stock I would pull on him when my G 5AT was stock only top end like 80+.. anything under and bye bye G.. We also did a race from a dig and he'd stomp the crap out of me.. If he used his launch control feature from a digg it would put another 3 cars + on me.

Recently he threw in about not even $1000.. NOT EVEN $1000 into performance in his car and he's already at 318 whp.. Its weird though, after he put down 318 to the wheels we did a 20 roll and my stock 5 AT got a huge jump on him and I put about a car on him.. Once we hit around 50 and up he was GONE.. I'm talking even after 80. I probably had the jump on him because he had to spool up or something.

Lets not forget to mention how his car handles of my G.. OMG no contest.. Lets stack up my interior (03) vs his EVO... No contest, way nicer than my G. The car looks fantastic.. I love the front, its very aggressive.. Now that he has an exhaust with test pipe the sound is orgasmic

Come on bro..seriously? The Evo might have a turbo but the G has 1.5L more in displacement and 2 additional cylinders. They both have what they need to make the power that they have...it's fair game.

Would you say the comparison is unfair if we were talking about a Viper? Would you say that the Evo has an unfair advantage even though it will loose horrendously? The Evo has a turbo...but the Viper has 4 times the displacement and more than twice the amount of cylinders....but it's N/A.

^I retract my statements given you have a point. But, it is a really slow car without the turbos.

Why are we comparing these cars again? Hasn't this subject been beat to death?

The G is comfy, with good highway power.

The Evo/STI are turbocharged beasts. They handle well and are very performance oriented. You sacrifice creature comforts though.

The Evo/STI beat the G in all performance categories.

IDC because i dont live on a race track and prefer to be comfortable while driving.

Why even bring it up, when it is turboed from the factory, along with a full factory warranty?

That's like saying you can't compare a Carrera Turbo against a F430 cuz the Porsche has two turbos...

You obviously have not been in a X MR, let alone a 2010 X MR...which imo is much nicer interior wise than any G pre-G37, but that would be an unfair comparison and the G37 does have a nicer fit and finish to the interior than the new Evo. IMO it's the perfect blend of performance and comfort for a reasonable price....and the Recaro seats are 100x more comfortable than the G's seats.

What creature comforts do you sacrifice exactly with the X?
