Metallic gray Z06

Just curious what you guys think of this. I've never been a huge fan of gray or black wheels, but this thing just looks mean. New color for 09, with new wheel style ("competition gray spyders").

Reminds me of the old steel city grey. I think it's awesome.

I like it. Shows good style.
I'm just not a fan of the 'murdered out' look that everyone seems to be going to.

Love it. The color looks beautiful, and those new wheels also make it look more "competitive". Similar style to the 997 GT3 wheels.

And performance-wise, well, you know...

Oh hell yeah. Not generally a fan of 'non-colours' like grey, but that's killer. Still, make mine yellow or copper.

Wow, wasn't expecting so many people to like it as much as I do!

I think I may pick one up this spring. I'm getting bored with the C6 LS3. I've always had an itch to get a damn Z06 and I fooled myself into thinking that the base model was more practical. Bad call. It's still a death trap in the rain, it's a joke trying to even fit a bag of take out in the car, bottom line, you need a beater. So I bought myself a complete POS for errands and bad weather. And then the market got worse and Z06's with the same mileage as my base were being listed for $7K over what I paid.

Another factor is how much I love to mod. Govt. motors is cracking down, it's bad. The latest horror story I read about involved an oil pump failure that led to an engine failure, and GM was denying warranty coverage because of an air intake!? This was a base model. I officially retract all of my negative comments about GT-R warranty issues.

So if you go vette, might as well go straight to the Z06, apparently a Jay-Z CD will void your warranty on the base model.

Something about this color makes it look more exotic, doesn't look like "just another corvette". They definitely added a touch of German or JDM.
