There are tons of slow cars on the road (see if you can comprehend what I am talking about). I have not been in an accident with my sis' old TSX due to its acceleration, those cars makes power up top and are linear it is suppose to be smooth powerband cause its marketed as a luxury car.
Dude, i am not even TALKING about an SS. I am talking about the regular one. And they really arent slugs. A bone stock one will pull on a G, and with just a couple hundred dollars your running low 13s, can still tow 6600lbs, have AWD, and seat 5 people comfortably with a large rear cargo area.

But i am not even recommending that because they still cost more than what he is looking to spend (and honestly you CANT beat a Maxima for that price.)

We just leased an Altima 2.5S, and even THAT will run circles around the TSX. It is a SLOW car. I am sure that is is fine in every other category, but it is a SLOW car. That is a FACT. That is all i am trying to tell you. Simple as that. My friends G20 for instance. Great car. Smooth, handles well, but the fact that it runs 10 second times to 60mph just ruins the whole car. You gotta have SOME performance, and in taht case the TSX is lacking.

All i did is argue an A- performance rating for a car that has C- performance. Simple as that. Cant comprehend? go pick up a copy of Motor trend and compare it to other cars in its class.

BTW 4DGS: Have you peaked at an I35 or an I30 Infiniti? Can be had for the same prices as a Maxima, but you get a little more luxury. I have test driven both and they are very nice cars. You should easily be able to find one in your price range.

I personally like the Mazda6 GT or even a Mazdaspeed6....
if that is too expensive...try a mazdaspeed3....I am sure your brother would like the utility of a hatch.

And I wasn't even TALKING about the Trailblazer in the beginning, you did. You bought it up for no reason to compare it to the torque it has so I compared the fastest Trailblazer model against my car. Reread all my post and see where I said whether or not the TSX was fast or slow.

To recap, you said the TSX is slow as hell. I posted the acceleration times comparing it to the Aurora and the TSX was a bit quicker. You don't have to take my word, feel free to google or research the times. I've merely mentioned that not everyone is about performance. It was then you bought up the Trailblazer.

I saw the thread about your parents getting a new car and someone mentioned something about Hondas not doing anything for them. Wonder who would say a bias comment like that. Fact is... the TSX only went through one model year change while its competitors went through atlease 2.

You win, the Altima 2.5S pwns all other car on the road.

So to wrap this up;

1. TSX is ugly
2. TSX is slow
3. TSX may have got a remodel , but it just made it uglier and gave it a beak
4. Trailblazers are quick, trailblazer SS are FAST
5. Who really likes a FWD honda?
6. My brothers car will 100% NOT see the track in it's entire life unless he is there taking photo of MY car.

I was thinking about the mazda3 hatch, they can look pretty damn good with a drop and wheels. I will just need to persuade him it's not a girlie car as that might be his first opinion. I like them though!

mazda 3s are definitely not girlie cars. most if not all of the mazda3s (at least 10) at our school are driven by guys. the new kia soul is driven by lots of girls and the pontiac vibe.
one girl drives the QX56 and shes what? 5'2" or 5'3"

Every girl I can think of want a mazda3 because they're cute.

This kids at your school are driving what their parents either give them or let them drive. I doubt many of them picked the vehicle they're driving. If they did it would have been a G lol

I know tonnes of chicks that drive huge trucks, but they like the mazda3 lol

definitely what their parents gave them.....

but they are not of those spoiled brats. they treat them like their own.

i hate the mazda 3 of its tiny interior and boot. when i say tiny it is TINY.
another reason is cuz this guy at my school riced out his mazda 3. fartcan and chrome 15" wheels that has 100000 spokes on them. gross.

mini coopers for girls anyone?

Haha, I am yet to see a riced out mazda3. I in no way doubt they treat them like their own, but you know if every guy was given $15,000 he would have bought something sporty or huge!

Mini coopers are alright, the guy who owns my gym drives a Cooper S kind of funny to see him cruisin around. He's like 6'1" 225 lbs haha he's huge. The Cooper S is actually a pretty quick little car, but they have a crazy pricetag and filthy repair costs (BMW)

usually i think they are driving their parents car, or that their parents forfeited for a better car. the girl that drives a QX56 used to live up my street and they owned 2 boats, that QX, a 2002? audi s4 convertible and 06? audi s4 convertible. spent hundreds of thousands renovating their home then selling it.
IMO, small cars/small guys (no offense) big cars/big guys. looks weird the other way.

maybe i should take a pic of that riced out mazda?

regarding the Infiniti I30s/I35s, wouldnt that really defeat the purpose of getting a newer and low km car?

haha, he's a weird guy too happy sometimes.

The I30s and I35s are cool cars, Roy (another member here) picked one up for $2900? and it has 150kms. Which is solid, I think my brother is looking for something 03+.

The OP's brother doesnt want a TSX. End of the discussion. Mk. I like some Hondas. TSX is not one of them. Why buy that when you can get a TL or a G for similar money.

And 4DGS, i dont know what an I35 goes for up in Canada, but you can get an 04 for 11grand US around here with around 70-80k miles. Those cars are solid and will run for a really long time. I think i'd personally get one over a Maxima if i could find a better deal, but the Maxima is still a very nice car.
