Lincoln Aviator?...Any good feedback

My wife's lease is up soon on her 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited. We've been toying with a few alternatives (I opt for the FX35 or BMW X3)..she's interested in the Aviator. Anyone have one or driven one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Not sure if you have purchased a car yet but i own a 2003 Aviator i love it. It is a really confortable drive smooth and the interior is very nice. there isnt much trunk room so if u want alot this is not a car to go with.

Re: Lincoln Aviator?...Any good feedback

Hey British- here are some quick-glance pros and cons I got after some web searches...This is what happens when I can't sleep, the book I'm currently reading isn't appealing at the moment, and/or XBox is boring or frustrating me

Edmunds (http://www.edmunds.com/new/2004/linc...er..2.Lincoln*)
Pros: Class-leading power from the standard V8, Excellent handling dynamics for an SUV, Stylish and feature laden interior that doesn't sacrifice utility
Cons: Interior lacks the rock solid build quality of equivalently priced luxury SUVs, Engine noise intrusive at high rpm

Modern Offroader (http://www.modernracer.com/offroader...orhistory.html)
Pros : Powerful engine, Tons of interior room, Good handling for an SUV, Good value for money, compared to rivals, Handsome styling.
Cons : Interior fit and finish not the best, Brakes prone to fading, Excessive engine noise at high rpms, Fuel economy comparable to bigger SUVs, No low-range gearing for off-roading (**SnM Note: Ummm...Offroading a Lincoln Aviator?)

Yahoo! Autos (http://autos.yahoo.com/newcars/linco..._overview.html)
Pros: Passenger and cargo room
Cons: Fuel economy

Autoweb (http://www.autoweb.com/content/resea...tor-Luxury.htm)
Pros: ABS, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Automatic Transmission, Base List Price Below Average, CD Player, Child Safety Locks, Child Seat Tethers, Leather Seats, Power Windows/Locks, Side Air Bags, Side Impact Door Beams
Cons: No Standard CD Changer, No Standard Traction Control

Consumer Guide (http://www.cg-car-reviews.com/index....d/new/id/37151)
Pros: Passenger and cargo room
Cons: Fuel economy
