SLK 350

This car is just way too clean. I saw a preview of it on the MB USA site and was just floored. I currently own a G35 Coupe AT and was thinking of trading it in for a 05' CLK, but after seeing this car I just don't know. I think the G35 is a great car and all, but lately I've been wanting something a little more luxurious. The price difference is pretty big and the styling is very different, but besides that what does the G35 have in terms of interior ammenities that would make it superior to either the CLK or SLK??

I know one thing that Nissan knows how to make better. The navigation system, If you look at their navi system its almost a joke. Another thing the G has is a more simpler interior if you like it that way.

Re: SLK 350

i saw it at a local dealer and its a gorgeous car... totally different class than the G35... if you got the loot, go for it.... you can't really compare the two at all in terms of interior...

Re: SLK 350

The new MB's use DVD based navi now. The system isn't that bad. The programming is a little easier, entries are stored alphabetically, the POIs are broken down into more descriptive categories, and it seems to be a bit more accurate for distances to turns, intersections, etc... The one thing that the G still has over the MB is the birds-eye view. Sorry this isn't too descriptive, I'm going off of memory from programming the navi in my MB the other day.

Re: SLK 350

I was able to test drive the demo in a local dealer here in Orange County. The lunch edition was around 55k it has a 3.5 N/A V6, 268hp not sure about the torque. It is indeed one sweet ride I almost bought the one that was arriving the following day the only diff was it wasn't a lunch edition. It could be bought for sticker which is at 52k. The wifey didn't like it cause it was to small. So I had to pull my name out of the list. Anyways, goodluck should you decide to buy it.
