Saw a C06 on the fwy today.....

It's a lot smaller than the old Corvette. I thought I was seeing things when I first notice the car. I was thinking is that a custom Vette? The back of the car is shorter it doesn't look normal for a Vette to be that small. It had dealer plates on it so I don't know if this car is already available to the public. Can you imagine the power to weight ratio on this new Vette. Big hulking V8 carrying a smaller and lighter car.

I saw it parked at my school. Red, shining, and magnificent - an awesome car. The hood looks very tight considering it houses a 6.0L V8 - makes the front of our cars look sort of bloated in comparison.

I agree, i think the front end of the G35coupes IMO are so rounded and bloated also, thats the only reason why i like the sedan front better, it looks more aggressive and aerodynamic to me!!

Re: Saw a C06 on the fwy today.....

This is kind of interesting. I've noticed that a lot of the traditional import buyers really like the new Corvette styling, while a lot of the old school Corvette fans don't like the new styling. The new C6 seems to be attracting a whole new set of buyers.

I'm a long time Corvette fan, and I like the new C6 styling (although the back from the side looks like its smushed in).

How true about the rear of the car. That's why I had to look twice just to make sure I'm not seeing things. I haven't really seen the inside of this car is it different from the last model? I'm not going to buy one just a bit curious.

Yes, the interior is totally different from the last Corvette. Much higher quality materials, tighter panel gaps, etc. The interior is finally no longer a source of criticism of the car.
Here's a picture of the new C6 interior:
