"Have you DRIVEN a Ford lately"? (to quote their slogan)

A Cheap G35 is called an Altima, I don't see anyone who would/could buy a G35 opting for that.

Are you serious? The 500 looks like an A6/Audi creation. Nowhere near a G35.

To be honest, I actually don't mind the 500. Would I buy one, no....however there is certainly worse cars on the road. I find interior (only seen pictures) to be quite nice. I don't think the 500 will be in direct competition with the G...definitely two different buying crowds.

No, get real, an Altima is not a "cheap G35", number one, it's FWD, as is the 500 unless you get the AWD option.

The Ford 500 was originally designed as the Taurus replacement (as it may still be as of 2006???) but Ford decided to continue the Taurus at least 1 more year and add the 500 to its lineup. The 500 still has the very old and outdated 200 HP Duratec (or some variant) engine...my guess is it's very slow with poor handling and braking and has a so-so interior. The exterior looks like a nicer Taurus to me; the 500 is not even close to the same entry-level sport sedan class (blend of luxury, sport, power, and handling) of the Infiniti G35.

Where are you guys getting that I'm putting these cars in the same class?

I just saying Ford ripped the Interior design from our G.

The only thing that the G35’s and 500’s have in common is the clock everything else is different. BTW those Ford 500 look really nice.

Look at the shifter, the shirter plate, the center console, the buttons, the shape....Really really close. They had to have used the g35 as the bases for the redesign.

Well the 500 has a better interior than the G35. I don't think it looks anything alike. Ford interiors are really getting better.

I just don't see it. Other than the fact that the clocks are somewhat similar and they both happen to be left-hand vehicles here in the States, I don't see how the Ford 500 and G35 interiors are the same.

Sorry, I took your question marks to mean you felt it was a lesser expensive alternative.

...and I agree, the only similarity I see is that Ford ripped our clock design.
