Fx35

took my G35 in for regular maintenance. was hoping for a 05 G35 sedan loaner, out comes a FX.

Now, i'm not a huge fan of SUV's. But the FX is pretty sweet. It accelerates better than i thought (coming from a 6 speed G), and handles nicely too. I love the exterior styling also, very nice.

if i was in the market for an SUV, the FX would have to be up there!!

Totally agree. I had one for a day when the GM6 C was in for service also. They power was excellent and the exhaust note is similiar to ours.
These things are beautifully aggresive and the interior is incredibly well appointed and comfortable. The sound system is better than the G.
I want one!

I started considering the G35 sedan when it first came out. For various reasons, ended up with a different (less exciting) sedan for the wife. We recently picked up an FX35 for me. Debated between the FX and G sedan - wanted extra space than the sedan offered but honestly the FX isn't much better for interior space. It's a great vehicle - fairly quick for an SUV-type vehicle but can really feel the extra weight. Love the looks of it. Might agree that it is a little overpriced....

We also have a loaded '03 FX35...premium, sport (20" wheels, sport suspension), and technology package (Navi, Intelligent Key system, rear DVD Entertainment system, rear-view camera, laser-guided cruise control, etc.).

Copper ext./Brick int./same VQ engine, 280 HP/280 lb./ft. Torque, and the same exhaust note as the G35 Coupe and 350Z. Obviously not as fast as the FX45 with the 315 HP V8, but good enough for an SUV Crossover that weighs 4,046 lb. (0-60 in about 7.0 sec.)...faster than a Porsche Cayenne (base and S models I think) and my wife mainly drives it!

We love it (although it's not exactly the best family SUV...it's a bit cramped, but we make do...our 2 1/2 year old loves watching Elmo or The Wiggles in the back! ); it looks very cool, it's fast (for an SUV), sounds like a sportscar, handles like a sportscar (and much less prone for rollover than most SUVs), it's very safe, has great brakes, and has a lot of toys in it!!! It's one of the reasons why I chose to get my '04.5 Infiniti G35 Sedan.

$46k list...$41k out the door. Oh yeah...and it fits in the garage!

I'm just curious about the price...when and where did you by your fx...?

I bought my fx35 about 9 months ago and paid around $41 (excludes tax) without rear dvd entertainment system and sport package, and the sticker was at $46k...

Either you made a mistake of $46k msrp with all the options or I got ripped off.

Yes, I did make a mistake with the MSRP sticker price...it was actually $44,645 (I just looked at the sticker ). But, don't forget that we have an '03 loaded (same as '04...virtually no changes) with everything I mentioned, and got more than $3,500 off MSRP ($41,108). I believe Infiniti raised the prices in '04 and '05. Also, beginning for the '04 models, Infiniti separated some of the options for the FX like the DVD rear entertainment system. Our "Technology" package included all the high-tech goodies including the DVD rear entertainment system, Navi system, rearview camera, Intelligent Key system, and laser-guided cruise control. We got our FX35 in W. Palm Beach, FL; then, I got a good deal on my G35 from there as well. I pit 3 dealers against each other on price, and I always get the price I want or I walk...

You seriously think the Cayenne is a better buy? You can get a nicely equipped FX35 at about what the Cayenne V6 starts at. The V6 Cayenne, which is really underpowered BTW, starts at $41K and when you add in all the options you have the worlds most overpriced SUV.
