Is that the actual production version... looks very much like a concept car. Outlandish styling.

I really don't think it's a production version. It's too much of a concept. Besides, it's not the best looking concept. It's too round and not everybody will accept it.
Target at G35 coupe? Are you kidding?? The CEOs must have scandal too much and burnout their brains. Power doesn't mean everything. This thing can't even match 350z, Audi TT, S2000, 330ci. It's true that the EVO give them a bit of shine. but challenge a skyline with that thing? Man, we should go target at the Ferrari F360 or F430 then. I found it share some style with the G35 coupe IMO |

People have to stop taking concept models so seriously. When you see such drastic styling you know the production model isn't going to look like that. On top of that, you don't take some random website's word for what features will or will not be included in a production model- you take the word of the manufacturer or a reputable enthusiast magazine such as "Car & Driver" or "Road & Track", and even then you have to realize that proposed trim levels and features are subject to change. That, and different magazines have reported that the new Eclipse will, in fact, have HID technology. And why would a production sports car such as the Eclipse come rolling on 20s? Of course the 20s on the concept are just for show- they fill the concept's arches better. A first or second concept is there to garner reaction and attention, and to create interest in possible buyers, not to be a realistic representation of the production vehicle. Look at the concepts for the GT-R- do you think those things are realistic representations of the production vehicle?
As far as targeting the G35, who knows? Maybe the interior and performance will be good enough the give the G a run, maybe they won't even be close. It isn't completely out of the realm of possibility that the new Eclipse will be able to give the G Coupe a run for its money. Most likely it won't happen, but with Mitsubishi needing to make a move and dumping so much R&D money into this new Eclipse, you never know. I don't think the Eclipse name can take on the G35, personally, but if they're truly targeting the G35 I'm sure they'll at least get close in the production model. It isn't like car companies don't know what they're doing when they make an attempt to target a competitor's vehicle- some just happen to nail it while others fall short.

I'd love to see them bring back the turbo Eclipse, but then again warranty issues could arise and they’re not exactly making ends meet.

It looks like they are aiming for the Z look.
Its got too many curves. The back kind of reminds me of the Carrea GT. The rest of the car could be production worthy. |

Typical Mitsubishi, CHEAP plastic interior and undoubtedly poor build quality. They are nearly bankrupt, anyone who is seriously considering this car that will end up going the way of Daewoo is setting themselves up for disaster.
