Nissan Vehicles
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Nissan vehicles are some of the nicest looking on the road? I think that Nissan has done an amazing job the last 2-3 years with all of the changes to their lineup.
Compare Nissan's styling to both Honda and Toyota....IMO its no comparison. Don't get me wrong, I think that both Honda and Toyota make very good quality vehicles, but their exterior stying is so bland. When I see any Honda or Toyota drive by, I see a "nice" car, however nothing that ever makes me look twice. I also find that Nissan has a much broader range of buyers in terms of age group. I think that Camry vs. Altima would be a good example of that. I drove the new 05 Pathfinder not too long ago and it rocks! I totally love the new design! |

Nissan has come forward in leaps and bounds in the last 3 years.
Fine looking vehicles, even b4 we get to the Infiniti lineup.

Yea I think that Nissan finally got their act together and now are giving thier customers cool cars at a good price, unlike before the cars were generic, ever-lasting cars.
I am a HUGE fan of Acuras and Infinitis and both design have been coming along nicely. Toyo/lex need to pick up the pace. |

I have to totally agree, as well. The redesign across the entire Nissan/Infiniti lineup has been very successful. Their designers are really earning their dough.
![]() I've been shopping for a replacementfor my '96 4Runner. I test drove all my finalists, including a new 4Runner and an '05 Pathfinder. After thinking about it for several days, I've decided to buy a Pathfinder. The main deciding factor ... design & styling. The 4Runner is in most ways a better vehicle, especially in terms of ride, noise isolation, and the overall perception of refinement. It's probably a "smarter" buy, even a "safe" buy. But the new Pathfinder just looks & feels like a truck I'd wanna be seen in and spend time driving. It "involves" you more. It's a little edgier, has a bit of a snarl, and no matter if you like it or not, it just kinda grabs your attention. By contrast, the 4Runner's is just so bland to me style-wise, that I can't bring myself to buy one, no matter how many intellectual arguments I make in-favor of it. (It's just like with women - a man might appreciate the nice girl with a great personality, but it's always the one with that gorgeous face and those long shapely legs that you really want to be seen with on your arm. )Anyway, here's a real-world example of where styling boldness makes a difference. Touche` Nissan!

I think the same thing except the front grills and bumpers on some of the cars are less to be desired. The 2001 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V with the knock off skyline front bumper was a killer. It was great until 2003 with the new grill and bumper on the same car. It totally destroyed the look of the car. There are some thing that could be changed, but over all, you're right the Nissan line is awesome and I wouldn't change who they are for nothing, but then again, I have owned nissans since they were datsun, so I probably won't pick another car manufacturer out there.

My first car (ever) was a 1983 Nissan 280ZX...loved it! Then, I had several other cars until Lexus won me over, and never thought I would drive anything else...I had 3 of them. After our 2nd Lexus RX300, we wanted something a bit different (but big enough with all the bells and whistles as we have 1 child), so we got a loaded '03 FX35. Now, we have 2 Infinitis...my G35 Sedan as my co. car and my wife drives the FX35. Although I still may go back to Lexus or BMW, I have been extremely impressed and pleased with the way Nissan/Infiniti has come back, and I am seriously eyeing the new M45 for my next car. I think us driving 2 Infinitis says it all.

The G35 is my first *new* car ever in life. I considered 3-series, C-Class, TL, IS300, and S40, but none of them can really stands out like the 05 G35 does.
Since Nissan had hired the guy who used to work for Opel, everything had changed a lot; he even saved Nissan from its financial crises. Thanks to its FM platform and V6 engine which can reduce Nissan's material costs a lot. ...And now, I am really looking forward to see Nissan's new Mini Z... |

Nissan has been hitting home runs in their new vehicle design for about the last 4 years. The ownership change with Renault injected some serious cash, and life into the company which has translated into great design and engineering. I drove a Renault rental throughout Bavaria in Germany and the advanced engineering, flawless smooth drive even in this 1.6l 5 spd. car was amazing. It was the same car class as the 318 and the C180.

the z and the g35 coupe are the only attractive cars from nissan (in my mind). i think the new altima and maxima are abominations. they just can't compete with the accord ... the accord looks blander but more sleek on the inside and out. the accord is the most reliable car i've ever seen, so nissan has no chance of competing. in terms of the breakthrough engineering, the germans are leading the way ... vw, bmw, mercedes.
