2006 3 Series

What do you guys think of the new 3 series? To me, the exterior looks are a little on the boring side, the G is a much nicer looking car from the outside. I really like the interior in these new bimmers though.

Better styling, but it still just doesnt really move me. Nice car though.

The rear wheels should be farther back. Proportions from the side look a little odd. But then again, all the new BMW's look odd!

I really like the new 3 and 5 series. BMW did an excellent job on them. I still like the older interior but the new one is starting to grow on me. If they could get thier price in line with the G or at least near it, I'd buy one.

Looking at it agian, yeah, it is a sharp vehicle. I just couldnt see myself sliding into one until I hit my mid 30s. It does add a bit more refinement than the G does.

i think the new 3 series looks pretty good compared to the hideous current 5 and 7 series. of course, it's all personal taste. but most ppl i know (myself included) really dislike the new bmw styling.

I think it looks pretty good, looks a tad larger as well. LOL, almost looks like it's parked in a landfill!

Somehow it reminds me of a jaguar. Now, only the new M5,M6, and 7 series looks good.

There is a pattern to the BMWs.

First the 7 series came out, everyone hated it and bashed bangle. BMW is destroyed they say.

Second the 5 series is released and people hate it, bangle sucks they say but the 7 series doesn't look so bad.

Third the 3 series is released and again people say BMW is ruined and bangle is the devil. The 7 and 5 series aren't so bad now.

Moral of the story. Things change. When the previous BMWs were released people were in an outcry because their beloved "boxmobile" bmws were now history. What happened? They became the most popular BMWs ever, people loved the previous 5, 3, and 7 series and the M5 and M3 were two of the top sports cars in their classes.

In time the same will happen here as well. People are just so resistant to change.

I wonder how many people are going to opt for the idrive option. I would not be suprise if there were many accident because of the confusingly crappy system. Can anyone say 330i sedan that cost nearly 50k yet its slower that many of its competitors like the G35 and the Tl?

They governed the top speed to 130. So its definatly not a Top Speed lowers car.
