New Porsche Boxster or New Mercedes Benz CLK-350?

Which would YOU get and why? These are your only choices. Please do not go off-topic and discuss other cars by other manufacturers. It's either the 2005 Porsche Boxster (S model is an option) or the 2005 Mercedes Benz CLK 350 (AMG model is an option). I realize both cars serve different purposes, but I'd really like to hear the various reasons all of you have for choosing one over the other. I am not thinking of getting one anytime soon, but I'm thinking in a little less than a year I may be seriously looking. And, NO, I would not be replacing the G!

Then def the Boxster. for some 2 seater fun.

But I do have a bias....

I would get the Boxster as a sports car. The G35 is an excellent GT car.

benz for me. personally i don't care for the porsches, unless its the old 944 model, 911 turbo, or the carrera gt.

If the CL55 AMG is an option go with the CLK. That car is awesome. Besides, Porsches don't come with much and by the time you get done equipping it with all your options the thing costs more than its worth.

the sport car fanatic in me would chose the porsche boxter S. for some reason i was never really a benz fan.

New Boxster S is focking sweet... I love the looks and the new engine has 280 horses. Plus the car is mid-engine and perfectly balanced, and is a blast to drive. The Porsche emblem is just added bonus. What more can one ask for?

Out of those to cars you chose I'd get the Boxster. But instead of those to I'd rather get the SLK350 or better yet the SLK55 AMG.

It's kinda hard not to deviate since one is a coupe and the other a roadster (yeah, I read the disclaimer). If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably pick the CLK as it's more practical although reliability record of MB is troubling. Not a fan of the Boxster looks, would rather save up for the 997.

I would wait for the Boxster coupe which should be release by the year end, but really I personally wouldnt buy either, if you are looking for a convertible, then a Vette C6 convertible or if hardtop then a Z06..but other than that, out of the 2, for some sporty fun look for the Boxster COUPE due to be release soon..and for some pure luxury along with some fun the CLK55

Benz note the AMG model does not come in a Manual Tranny, it has a 7-Speed Auto my neighbor just got one its a good lookin car. compared to the porsche that it
