Fastest you have ever CORNERD in your G35 or other cars.

ok, How fast have you hit in your G35 going around a Corner? and whats the fastest you have ever corner, and in what car?

ok, G35, fastest I have ever been with my dad, was on a big sweeping bend going out to the huntclub. I was talking to my dad that we havent gone very fast into corners in the G yet, so i dident get to feel it yet. And i must remind you that the car was about 1 week old when this was, and we dident get to do any cornering yet. So my dad said, "Lets find out." So going into this big sweeping corner, he just gunned it, and we hit the corner at about 85, 90 mph. And holy Sh/* you can feel the Gs going that fast into a corner. That was the coolest thing i had ever done before lol I'm like, HOLY F**K THAT WAS AWESOME! and i was begging him to do it again but on the way back, a cop was on the road so we couldent lol. It was still cool though.

It was a big corner, not a tight city one. So yeah. On city corners on an on ramp/switching freeways type thing, my dad said during the test drive he got the record for doing 65 into one of those tight corners.

But yeah, lets hear yours. Just wrighting this is getting my testosteron pumping and making me wanna go spin a ****ty/donut in the street. I need to read somthing else lol

How was it 'dumb'? It was in a safe and secure enviroment, and he used to race cars proffesionaly.

Everyone has fun somtimes. You have never met my dad, so dont call it a dumb move. My dad rarely does it anyways.

Umm there is a tight turn in front of my house which I did ~40mph in my freind's 325i (no jokes please) he does it at 30-40everyday. Took the same corner at the same speed in the TL felt scary in it but on the way out it was better than teh BMW.

My freind did it at 50mph in his Porsche and his G35. Rich kids....

Fastest in my G35: 120 mph. Turn 8 of Willow Springs big track

Fastest with me driving: 130 mph in my Z06. Turn 8 of Willow Springs big track

Fastest as a passenger: 140 mph in my friend's '01 supercharged Z06, Open Track Challenge prepped, with full T1 race suspension (with street tires - with race tires it'll hang 145 + mph on that turn). The back end got away from him for a second while in the turn at 140, but he recovered and compensated. Now THAT will tighten your sphincter!

'Bout 50 on a 90* turn on a small single lane tar, country road. I hit some bumps/gravel and almost ended up in a ditch - stock rims and tires, baaad understeer...other than that I havent figured out the limit to taking left turns through interrsections, hehehe.

How was it dumb? Well, let's see, one, he had his son in the car with him, two, this WAS NOT a secure or controlled environment if it was out on the public roads, three, if he did 'race professionally', which I doubt, he'd know better and lastly, you're right, I don't know your Dad. I'm sure he's a swell guy, but at that moment in time, he had a brain fart and made a dumb decision. Guess what, I'll do something that somebody else will perceive as dumb later on today and I'll think it's just fine...live with it and don't take it so personal.

Now that I read your post Z06, I forgot that I too ran at Big Willow and hit turn 8 at around 110 in my stock G (at the time) and hit 140 in my blown G a month ago at CalSpdWay on that course. I guess I was think 90 degree turns and not gradual turns. Now, CalSpdWay's beautiful banked turns had a lot to do with that speed ability, since I would not have attempted this speed on Yokohama AVS ES100's without the bank. The JGTC guys were hitting that turn at 160+

Yeah, Turn 8 is a sweeper for those who don't know the track. Obviously I couldn't turn at those speeds with a 90 degree'r.

Fastest 90 degree turn would be Turn 1 at Willow, which from what I remember I took at about 65 in the G35, and about 70-75 in the Z06. It is banked, and the track is much stickier than the street, so I couldn't possibly expect those speeds on a non-banked street 90 degree turn.

Nothing crazy in the G. I do not think it is wise drive at excessive speeds on the street.

Other than on dirt the fastest corner ever for me would have taken place in the 80's at some point while riding in a Porsche factory 935 while doing hot laps at Sebring with the late Al Holbert at the wheel. Our fastest average lap speed was 124.58 MPH. Simply amazing.

105 in a my 400+hp turbo eclipse<<<
Full suspension-5way adjustable front/8way adjustable rear
hotchkis sway bars front/rear
complete prothane mounts
lowered 2inches.
Stiff as hell, but handled like a dream.

The highest mph I had ever taken that turn prior to that day was 90, but for some reason that day I decided to push it and ended up loseing the azz end a little. I controlled it and pulled it back straight, but I never tried it again. Scared the liveing ****out of me.
