Someone sprayed... glue? on my car
i got an accord 01 sedan and i left it at a friend house for a few hours while i hung out there. When time came for me to head home i look at my car and at first i thought WTF someone threw up on my car... But this neigborhood isnt that bad and after taking a closer look i thought it was silly string...
if it was silly string it woul dhave been better, at least you can peel that off... turns out it is some kind of glue... it is on a large portion of my driver side window and door... any advice on getting it off without damaging the car? It is on there good... this is just straight up glue.. its like someone dumped a bunch of yellowish/clear looking glue on my car help! |

Contact a local auto parts store or a local detailer, they should have some ideas. I think whatever you use though you want to be sure not to scratch the surface and the chemicals that you might have to use will likely remove the wax. You will also want to pre treat a concealed area.
I am NOT suggesting to use this, but this stuff works wonders elsewhere for removing glue or gum, etc. Not sure what it would do to your paint though. It's amazing, but a little scary because it works so well. http://www.wellspent.org/Product?p=45100

If they can't help, you may have to make an insurance claim for a repaint. Nice neighbourhood.
