yea, look like kit cars to me as well. holy crap!! ok if that Supra is authetic, I'd pay cash for it. 26K for a mostly stock JDM right hand drive twin turbo Supra? now that's a rare find.

Read the thread on the supra forum and the guy defends himself on there saying that these are JDM skylines and supras!!! I wonder if this is true, we should have some in FL checkout these cars. Theres a Skyline on there web for 13k, wow.

evolutionimports is legit.

the reason they are so "cheap" is that they pick these cars up in japanese auctions for pennies. In japan, insurance is so much on used cars that it's cheaper to buy new cars when miles are put on them. I wouldnt be suprised if they got the cars for only a few g's. Most of the costs associated with the price are in the importing of the vehicle and getting it registered/street legal. Since they have been doing this for a while and have license to do so, I would assume that they've managed to reduce these costs by now.

btw, these guys were located in southern cali a couple years back.

business is business and what you say still doesn't make sense. it doesn't matter what the dealer got the cars for (pennies or almost for nothing). they would still sell it for market value. also, i would think it must cost quite a bit to transport the car over and pay the tariffs, taxes, etc. for example, retailers may get products for almost nothing when they are discontinued styles/products. however, they will still try to sell them for full retail until the products don't move. then they will discount them.

How much do you think it would cost to get the car right hand drive? I mean change a US left hand to a JPN right hand. I heard it could be done.

The Skylines selling for 13 k are GTS models which only put out about 190 bhp (for the RB25) or 255 bhp (for the RB25DET) and are not AWD. These prices seem reasonable. These are NOT GT-R Skylines.

More power to Evolution if they can get these cars for cheap and import them to the States.

email the guy saying you are interested and then ask for the vin. I suppose you can track the actual car using the vin.
