Drove the M35X
Had 4 people including myself and it was a nice ride. They had people lining up at Willow Grove Saturday. There were 2 M's there that are not available as they are demo models with no stickers on them. They are not available for sale just yet. The M45 was there with 19's but not sure if it was a sport. Gorgous wheels and black paint make this thing what the 5 series shouuld look like.
Keyless entry pushbutton is nice as well as the speakers in the seatbacks. Best part of the car is the Audi like rigidity. Handling is great and the fatter tires are needed for all this things weight. THe springs on the X are pretty taught and the roll bars are apparently pretty stiff. Very nice ride. With 4 total people it was no where near as fast as my G but it does ok with 280 horses. I bet the non X has plenty of power with one person in the car. I bet the 45 rocks but I didn't get a shot in it they were waiting in line and I had to go. I am saving for that puppy. When they get that v-8 tuned up a notch and I get a bit more grey, that car is for me.

I took m35 for a test drive few weeks ago. Everything is perfect, the only thing I am not satisfied is the noise. I think nissan still needs work on making cars.

Yes the V-8 is irresistable. I had to have one....I wouldn't trade for another V-6.. the Coupe engine is perfect. But more than that, the technology in the M looks awesome. I'm really looking forward to playing with all those toys. Tuning will come: I know the exhaust is 2 into 1 into 2 which I won't like. That mod (to true dual) on my Coupe was my favourite, and I'll look for that change on the M, perhaps in Ti this time. I doubt that any intake is available yet, but I can 'tinker' with that. Synthetic fluids (after break-in) from engine to rear end will free up a few ponies. I'm expecting delivery any day now, so I'll post with impressions and pics soon. Colin

I was able to sit and get a demonstration of the M45 Last week. I wasn't able to drive it, it was in the showroom. But the salesman did give me the "tour" so to speak. Great stereo, excellent dash set up, the guages with the Halo lights are real nice.....Very nice blue tooth technology. I wonder if the 19" wheels would fit my G..........mmmmmmmm

I test drove the M35, normal non sport non X, and it is quieter than the 2005 G Sedan which was quieter than the 2004 model. It's technology is awesome. (get the Tech package as the DVD part can be added later if you really want it, it just hooks into existing plugs, the only addition is the screen and headphones.) I am in talks about the M35 Sport for a 2 year lease, that way I can buy the 07/08 M45 when they come out.
Awesome feature is the DVD-Audio (Metallica Black album) on the 14 speakers. I only turned it up half way and it was pretty loud, but sounded crystal clear. I was affraid to pump it too loud with the sales wo/men so close by and so many people there looking at cars, mostly the M. Another thing I loved was the COOLED seats. my main complaint with my leather seats is I get to feeling like the seat warmer is on, when it isn't. But with a cool breeze coming from the perferation on the seat, it is relaxing and invigorating. G35Girl, I got a invite as well, but couldn't make it. I called ahead, told the salesman I wasn't interested in buying, but got the invite for the party the night before and couldn't make it. He said I could come in a look at and drive it. I guess he knew I would love it as I was tempted to just drop 10K down and buy the thing. But I digressed and will show some restraint for now. Well, atleast until they get the color I want. |
