2006 Bmw M6 Wow!!!!!

I know the new 3 series is taking a lot of heat, but the new m6 just looks mean!! Makes me "almost" want to trade in my G. Too bad it starts at $85,000!!!!

Base price: $85,000 (estimated)
Available fall 2005/spring 2006.

2006 BMW M6: The meanest, quickest BMW coupe ever offered for sale to the general public arrives next year when the M version of BMW's recently revived 6-Series hits the streets. It will be powered by a modified 5-liter V-10 with variable valve and cam timing producing 507-hp, enough for 180-plus top speeds and 0-60 times estimated to be in the 4.5-4.6 second range. The M6 shares its V-10 and much of its suspension and running gear with the M5 sedan, but features unique touches such as a weight-saving carbon fiber roof. The M6 will be offered with a seven speed Sequential Manual Gearbox -- a true manual transmission, but with a computer-controlled clutch capable of changing gears far faster than most drivers could on their own. This transmission is capable of either fully automatic or fully manual gear-change functions, with 11 different DriveLogic levels of shift quality, speed and firmness to choose from. According to reports, the M6 is capable of generating a full "g" of lateral force on a skidpad - and lapped Germany's famous Nurburgring race track in eight minutes with a professional race driver behind the wheel.

I like the performance, but I don't like the way the trunk blends in to the new Bimmers (front 70% is pretty good looking). The maintenance out of warranty is going to be pretty bad too.

Those people in Stuggart are crazy with the 6 series. They want you to to name your first born M6 and offer him to the M gods, to get into one. I mean it is a lot of car, but 100k... I can't imagine that. at 50 I start to get woosy. so many other really great machines for 100k. I sure do love that car though.
