I saw pics from a Japanese magazine months ago, but can't seem to find any information anywhere...

Does anyone know if they are in fact planning on making this car...?

Speculation is that the Lexus LF-A concept will carry the Supra name, but like the GT-R I wouldn't put money on anything until there is an official announcement from the manufacturer.

I NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CAR I'M GOING TO GET in November when my lease runs up...I purposely leased my G35C instead of financing it because I figured there would be lots of bugs in it and I haven't even had anything wrong and I'm so in love with my car even after 2 1/2 years that it sickens me...but I'm also so stubborn that I refuse to buy it/finance it when the lease runs up because I put so much damn money into leasing it...and I also don't want to buy a 2005 because aren't they going to change the body style in 2006...????

Seems as though every car I look at there is something wrong...either they don't come in a 6MT or they are front wheel drive or they're too damn expensive...I'm starting to feel like the guy who's letting the perfect girl go...LOL !!!

Anyone have any help for me on what to do regarding a new car...? I'd love to get that new IS350 but I refuse to drive an automatic...rumors are (or at least from what I've heard) that they won't be making a 6MT until the 2nd year of production.

My understanding is that the bodystyle isn't going to change until model year 07, which gives you another 18 months. Even then, no one knows what the restyle will look like - it could be like the new 3 series - ACK!

I know a guy who recently bought a brand new 3 before he went on deployment because he wanted to make sure he didn't get stuck with the revised bodystyle when he got home. He bought the car with the intent of letting it sit on bocks for 6 months... I agree with him - given the two cars side by side, I prefer the old style.

Who knows - the new G could look like a$$. I doubt it, but you never know..

That is incorrect. The LF-A is totally unrelated to the Supra. The LF-A is a Lexus car with F-1 tech and influence and will cost over 100k
The Supra will use the new 3.5 V-6 with at least 330hp and is based on a shorted GS 300/430 platform. If engineers do not sign off on this design, they will keep the engine and make a Supra specific platform.

Why would the Supra infringe into the IS350/GS430 market? Doesn't make sense, Toyota would be cutting it's own neck.

If you've got a press release from Toyota giving the specs on the Supra, I'd like to see it. Like I said before it's all speculation until the manufacturer releases a statement.

There is no proof backing this statement. The Supra rumors have been flying around for years and are purely speculative.

there are many rumors about the new supra, i read in one mag that they might have a 500hp V-10, developed by their F1 team. but i wouldnt believe anything until i see it, same thing goes w/ the skyline

Usually I go by the rule of never buying a new model year of a car, when major changes are done to the engine and etc...

The new Supra may have a lot of HP, but I would still like to see the design and what features it offers.

I would still say the Europeans have most of the best designs for cars.
Although, the G is a definite awesome design and probably one of the hottest to ever come out of Asia.

I have no way to post pics so if someone would be so kind and post the Supra picture from the June 2005 Road & Track page 28, I would be grateful.

A toyota on V8? Hmm lets se how well they tune that engine... Anyway, Supras will be riced out which makes my interest for G35 Coupe stand firm.
