I think its funny nobdy ever talks about the Mazda RX-8

damn I think that car is dead, damn MAZDA must have the dumbest advertising people working for them, There Special Edition Shinka Version is only Available in Black Cherry AKA PURPLE, what normal human being would want to be seen driving a purple car.

I'm a big G35 fan and I've dumped countless $$$$ into my car as a result, but I think you're off base here. The RX8 is, IMO, a cool car and I like the way it looks. Different strokes for different folks.

The RX-8 is so dead, even Sukairain gave up bashing it.

Werd.

I think people got sick of getting 11 miles/gallon and having to dump oil into it every time they fuel up

The Mazda dealer by me can't give these things away.

I like the RX-8 a lot and have nothing bad to say about them; I just like my G35C more.

I think its a cool car in its own right. Different type of motor, different physics. I like the car but it does lack something in styling for me. Looks good in black though.

p.s. shouldnt this be in the other cars thread? why here?

The RX8 was my second choice for a new car behind the G. I did not like the styling as much nor the lack of torque, so that is what made the difference. My previous car was an MX6 and it was an incredible car I loved. It was definitely the best vehicle from a quality/ 0 defect I have owned and a beautiful driving car. After 11 years it was immaculate and needed no repairs and still had the original exhaust. Mazda is high on my list but the RX8 just wasn't quite right.

I would hardly call it dead. I see several more rx-8's on the road than I do G35 Coupes.

I test drove one before i bought the infiniti and it is a really fun car to drive.

I almost repainted my G purple. It didn't flow well with my black wheels though, so I had to scrap that idea. There are several different shades and IMO, it can look pretty sweet. We aren't talking a pimped out purple here or a cavalier purple. The purple that comes on the Elise is hot!

Rx8

I think the RX8 is a great looking car! I seriously considered it prior to buying my G. Handling, looks and interior were great IMO. It just didnt seem to have any *alls....no torque..in stock form it felt very slow.

I agree, a great car in its own right. Fantastic handling. My second choice also. They're about 10:1 here in Detroit vs. the Coupe. Of course there's only one Inifiniti dealer in the whole region so that probably has something to do with it.

I like it that way though... keeps my Coupe unique.
