The front looks exactly like a Solara, with shorter headlights.

Gross. Look at the gap in the hood. The body panels seem to have a sub-par fit and finish.

I prefer the Solara, especially the original one.
The Lex is probably a great ride, but it's not my cup of tea.

Lexus is awesome! Only reason why the G35 is on my driveway because of the price deal and the additional power. If it wasn't for that, would of gone with a Lexus hands down. Just love the quality in those cars, so smooth.

Another article I read said 0-60 in 5.9 and about 310 HP.

I don't know where you get the solara front looking like the is? the solara is long exagerrated lines like a camry or maybe a lexus es. Absolutely nothing between them looks the same, the hood, grille, headlights, bumper, nothing...

There is a difference between "exact" and "similar". The front end lines of the IS are similar to the Solara's. It isn't difficult to see.
