Have to agree...
In general I don't mind the lines, but what's up with that grill?
If they adopt that as a trademark, there's going to be some fugly subies on the road.

isn't the new wrx getting that same grill work? i'm assuming they already have adopted it. leave it to the gm umbrella corporation to make an ugly vehicle even uglier!

Actually there is already a SAAB version of this hideous thing. And yes the next WRX has the same front grill I guess it's the new thing now for Subaru.

It seems like Subaru intentionally makes their cars ugly to avoid selling too many cars!

The Saab 9-7x is the same as the B9 but looks way better.

The same away Acura calls the MDX an SUV and Lexus calls the RX330 an SUV.

They're all trying to be different - fear of calling a wagon a wagon methinks. Wagons aren't 'cool.'

Mercedes is calling their new wagon/suv/crossover a Grand Sports Tourer - to me it looks like a lowered, reskinned Pacifica.

The new Subie actually gets very good reviews. They've always had a tendency to put quirky looking vehicles on the road.

I've never gotten the SUV thing. The only reason I own a truck is to be able to tow my camper. If it werent' for that, I'd have a coupe and a sedan.

I'd much rather these sheep drive one of those than a gas guzzling Suburban or Expedition anyday of the week. At least it's a smaller SUV, which will destroy the roads less (less weight) and consume less fuel. Quit yer b1tchin.

Of course. But your average consumer is much more comfortable saying they are purchasing and buying an SUV than a minivan or station wagon. Marketing, marketing, marketing...

I'm pretty sure the Saab is a disguised Trailblazer.
They do have a Subi variant though.

Hence the introduction over the last year of vehicles such as the Subaru WRX-based 9-2x and this year's 9-7x, which rides on (ahem) the same platform as a Chevy TrailBlazer and even offers its (ahem) V-8 engine.
