Thumbs up Porsche Panamera

Has anyone heard of the new sedan Porsche has been working on? Kind'a resembles a 4-door G35 coupe!

DROOL!!!

"For a while, there have been rumours flying around about a new secret four-door Porsche. They have now been confirmed.

The name is Panamera, Porsche Panamera. The international car of mystery will be a combination of a coupe and sedan. A concept version of the Panamera will be exhibite dby Porsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2005.

There is still some confusion about the exact launch new Porsche - some say it will be 2008 end, others say 2009. Probably, even Porsche doesn't know for sure.

The Panamera will have space for four adults, and four doors. The car is supposed to be a successor to the Porsche 928.

The rationale for this car that will disappoint many Porsche purists? Well, Porsche has nothing to offer to the market that loves it, but needs four doors and space for four adults. BMW, Mercedes Benz and Maserati are the manufacturers catering to that market, and the Porsche can surely make a dent there. The company's association with Volkswagen too will come in handy.

There are rumours that the Panamera will use the Volkswagen Phaeton platform.

Powering the Porsche Panamera four door sedan-coupe will be the same engines that are currenly available on the Cayenne, the Porsche SUV. Which means 4500 cc (4.5 litre), 340 bhp and a 450 bhp turbo version.

We do not have any more photos for a proper photo gallery right now - but trust us, the moment we get hold of some photos, you will have a full-fledged photo gallery of the Porsche Panamera here. Visit us again later!"

I'm getting a little bored of the Porsche styling. Same ol, with tweaks here and there. I know I'm gonna get a lot of flames for that comment!

Not from me. I like how Porsche looks, but I think it's time for a new designer or design team. At least a different look...

Personally, I just want Porsche to stick to coupes and convertibles. I'm not saying companies shouldn't evolve and go into different arenas, but I think Porsche belongs making only rides with two doors. Just my opinion.

Thats what we all thought before the cayenne came out but now that and X5 would be my only Suv choice.

I'd take the Range Rover Sport over either of those. It looks good (unlike the Cayenne) AND it can do real offroading.

The Cayenne has had lots of problems in its first couple years. The X5 is nice looking but if I get an SUV, it's not going to be a tall wagon, I want something with capability.

While the Range Rover is nice, it is a mechanical liability. Land Rover vehicles are notorious for their lousy reliabilities.

They stick with that body because it is insanely well done from a performance perspective. Prosche has some of the best chassis you'll find in a car.

Well... photoshop or not... it's a photo released by Porsche to the press...

As for the car... I think it looks boring. At least it's distinguishable as a Porsche. (BTW, I still think the Cayenne is ugly.)

I'd still rather have a Maserati Quatroportte.

my dad got a cayenne...he didnt want one at first but i kinda forced him into it...he says you wont believe that stares u get in it...people actually ask him to roll down his window to tell him they like his car...it might also be because of the color scheme...gold outside...orange inside....btw the car looks really bad in pictures but in person its a whole nother story....
