Which car would you rather have me 94 Mazda RX-7 VS 02 M3 Drop Top

Which one would you get, a nicely fresh 94 RX-7 taken care off with crazy reliability and clean mods and low mileage. 320rwhp. Or 02 BMW M3 Convertible, taken care off. If you had the choice and money wasnt an option what would you get. I have a feeling im gona get a lot M3s.

M3 coupe?

Never been a fan of either verts or racerboy type of cars, but I'd pick the vert. I'm a label whore and I care about luxury too, I admit it!

I would take the M3 because its an everyday driver and it has power. The Rx7 is good for the track and modding.

Crazy reliability as in horrible reliability, I hope he means! Because horrible is about as good as you'll get with an old Mazda rotary, especially one that's been worked.

'02 M3 - no question. I can't believe you're even comparing the two.

Having had a FD for 10 years, I find the reliability comments a bit unreasonable. My FD let me down once in that time and it was my fault. In the infancy of modding FD's it was not widely known that more than 2 or 3 basic mods were more than the ECM could deal with and the mixture went lean and the motor went pow. Other than that, my FD ran for 100K miles, went like stink and was THE BEST handling car I have ever driven. I'd take the FD over the overpriced bimmer, but having known an FD intimatly, I know EXACTLY what I am dealing with.

I agree with sofl_g. I've owned a 94 FD (RX-7) for 2 years. After sorting out some issues handed down from the previous owner, it has been quite reliable. Too many FD's have been mistreated by ricers slapping mods on without a plan, giving the car a bad name. That being said, the vacuum hose sytem is a PITA.

The FD is one of the most wicked cars to drive. I have yet to drive an M3, but I doubt it even comes close to the RX-7 experience. Besides, I see M3's everyday, but can go months without seeing another FD. Oh, if it's going to bother you to have strangers approach you about your RX-7 at every stoplight or parking lot, then buy the M3 no one will notice it.
