I have no doubt that it will be a manual, but i would also think that they are making sequential gear box as well.

I see articles that said they are working on a 6spd auto. I dont see why they wouldnt put it in a GTR as well.

I think i would buy it with a Sequantial box like the SMG

God I hate people who want AUTO on a god damn super-fast car.

Porsche 911 + Auto tranny = OLD BALD GUY DRIVING.

actually with current technology auto is on the same level as a manual.
Besides some of the fast cars out there have auto tranny's. Drag cars use auto.

Yes manual is fun to drive, but auto is more consistent. Besides ... ever heard to each his own.

^ I know autos are really advanced now. Hell, 7seed autos need I say more?

Its just that if you want an AUTO then dont get a Sports car with sports suspension. That way you wont be involved in driving.

Sports suspension + MT + fast car = (interaction) fun. AT does not fit in the equation.

If the GTR was to wear a Nissan badge, then I doubt it would be auto.

Since it will wear an Infin badge, it's likely that they will make an auto version so as to appeal to a broder audiance of US buyers. The reason that you can get a Porche in automatic form, is simply becasue there are enough Old, Bald Guys who will spend the bucks for it.

like i said MT is fun, but you can not take a full advantage of it unless you are in NON HIGH traffic area. For those who live in major metropolitan areas MT is not the best way to go even for a hot sports car unless you going to use it on weekends.

Beside i do auto cross and i see plenty of guys with autos beat out guys with MT. so its all driver at that point.+

there are some news that Nissan is going to outsource its tranmission to Getrag for the same tranny that was used in the E60 M5, also the same SMG system.

uh...

can anyone say Ferrari???

and whoever says MT is faster.. well
why does F1 use manumatic as well?

Ferrari's are coming in really fast manumatic versions, especially the F430

and if you don't call that a sports car..

well

It's not like transmission matters in an autocross course. 2nd and leave it there most of the time. Who cares what transmission it is at that point. Put it on a track and it's different.

Doesn't ferrari use Sequential gear boxes? As far as I know there is still a clutch there, not a torque converter.

I do track events as well. On track its how fast you can take a corner and stay in bowerband. Auto is good for that as well.
