New GT-R pics from Japan (Not sketches)

Pics of the new GT-R. I was hoping it would resemble the G35 a little bit more.

I still think it's ugly. The more I look at it the more I see a cross between a Mustang and the rear (side profile) of the 300C.

not feeling it. IMHO to me it "looks" heavy, the carbon trim and the AWD would be nice but just 450 HP (prob over rated), the overall style and the rumored 70K price tag will prob kill the thing for most people. I am a Nissan fan but for those kinds of $$$'s I would prob go for a really clean used 911 S or something along those lines. but thats just me.

I agree that the look should grow. If you honestly look at the R34, it doesn't look that great. It's the impression we get from the car that makes it so appealing. If the GTR will perform on a true performance level, I'm sure it would greatly help in becoming a "wanted" car.

Sorry, but I can not image two cars it looks LEAST like than the Mustang (blunt nose, long and squared off tail, pronounced wheel well flares, opposite facing door crease, etc.) and the 300C (three box design, no fluid lines at all, really high belt line, 4 doors, etc.).

I have a feeling once they get more production-ready and ditch some of the concept car one-offs (like the extensive cf, etc.), the car will look better. Plus, we will have two years looking at it, so we will be more used to the design.

I have faith.

I think they were trying to make the point that they wanted it to look much more sleek and sports car like than the R34. But, is it a 2+2 or just a 2 seater?

I'm sure the engine roar will be awesome no matter what it looks like, but the looks are killing me. I'm not digging the upward angle of the roof lines. And what the hell is that crease in the C pillar? The car looks broke in a couple areas. I'm a little disappointed in the looks. The rear looks good because the the 4 ring brake lights, but the fenders don't flow...hell I can't find any lines that flow on this car.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks it's a little on the FUGLY side. I've seen comments on other post/forums about how great it looks. Okay, lets be realistic here, if this car didn't have the GTR name or it's power plant, would you still like the way it looks? What if this was the new Toyota Prius coupe? Would you still be gaga over it?

Please try again Nissan...

Just my .03 cents.
