M45 Race

Just raced my brothers 06 M45 sport.. Got off the line perfect- the M45 held right next to me untill about 5k rpm in 2nd gear then by the time I was out of 3rd he was less than a car back.. Damn good for a sports sedan if you ask me. I was in my 05 G35 6MT only mods stillen high flow box/z-tube

Lol he doesnt have the room to toy around.
One small error can cause him to lose (M45 that is).
There is also Milage issue, meaning that M45 might have less than 1000-2000 miles on it.

Magazine tests show the M 1/4 times as a little faster, however that car isn't fully broken in yet. Try the same race in another 3-4k miles and the positions may be reversed.

+1....the M's bigger mass is harder to get going, but there's much more torque to do that.........also the VDC can be just as intrusive as the G if left on.

Very close in performance anyway....probably a driver's race.

Prolly a drivers race.... i think the car may have slower 0-60 times but may trap a lil higher, cant be positive tho, prolly shoulda taken you up top but since ur 6mt (better gearing than the 5at) quite possible, i'd like to see the m45 race a 05 5at G. BTW the M45 is sooooo hottttt i saw a white one, sickkk!!! tints and rims would make the car soooo beautiful, chrome rims on a white car is soo classy!!! i think if i had tha money and the need for a 4 door i'd get an M45!

We raced a few times. One time I got to the light too late to get my RPMS to 3k and the clutch at almost release position and got a bad start and lost lol , but we also got side by side in 2nd gear to check acceleration and the G pulls away at the end of 2nd and more in 3rd. The m45 has 750mi on it , my car has 1450. The G35C 6MT has more hp per lb then the M45 does but the whp % might be different (this I dont know). As for the positive side the only mod out for the M45 is the exhaust so when I get my HKS in and do the MREV it should be a bigger difference. Aside from that the M45 is a bad@ss car , I was really surprised at how close of a race it put up. Maybe once it gets broken in it'll be faster but by that time i'll have more mods =D. As for the M45 05 G35C 5AT race , my girlfriend drives an 05 coupe 5AT and im going to race my brother in that..I can tell you though there is no way the 5AT is going to beat the M45. I'll post results soon as it happens though

IM sorry but No.
There is more potential in 6MT than in 5AT. 6MT can be fast with the right driver, 5AT on the other side is just floor the gas pedal and hope u win.
