In terms of straight line acceleration, the cars are close, but in the corners the LS would fall way behind. The LS has got to weigh nearly 5K lbs.

LS was never meant to be driven like that...so why even compare it?

Ya along with that I was also wondering who would win straight line. Dump Truck or G35?

That would be a tough call, depending on how much trash the truck is carrying and most importantly can the guy hanging off the back throw enough trash at the G35 to slow it down. Close match!

i've personally done 155mph in a lexus LS. Aside from some slight wheel vibrations you could hardly tell I was going half that speed... They are built well...

I raced a GS430 once on the highway about a year ago(I think the GS was in the 2001-2002 years), and beat him by a safe amount. We did 3 highway runs from around 50-130.

They are heavy vehicles and only come in an auto tranny(5-speed auto), and weigh nearly 4000 pounds. That's nearly a good 600 pounds more than a G35 Coupe and the GS430 is also above .30 coefficient of drag, while the G35 Cuope is in the .27-.28 range and has its power divided up for use amongst 6 gears.

G coupe easily..

i went with a GS430 at highway speeds from 60-125.. i started a split second or so after he went and still had about 2 car lenghts on him once i stopped.. i'm not knocking the LS or GS, but they are heavy.. they are both very good comfortable rides, but they're just not meant to be raced..
