What do you guys think of Audi B7 (2006) A4?

The 2006 A4 has nice amenities and it's not bad looking. The 06 has the 2.0T FSI engine with torsen quattro. A really simple mod, chipped, it can make an SAE corrected 210 hp & 240 tq to the wheels on a Mustang AWD Dynometer. Mustang's tend to have lower numbers than other dynos. Stacking up more power should be easy. There is not much turbo lag with the new engine. It weighs about the same as a G35 Sedan and cost about the same. The quality in the A4 is a few notches above the G35, comes with the 4 yr Audi Advantage (free maintenance like bmw and mb), but falls short in drivetain warranty compared to infiniti.

The AWD system is proven and strong compared to the EVO and STI. The A4 can be made to handle very well as the chassis is also used in the S4 and RS4. The A4 is a 4 banger and the G35 is a v6 but the turbo seems to make up for the lack of the other 2 cyclinders if your not looking for 400+ #'s. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So what do you guys think of the Audi B7 2006 A4 (6 spd of course)? Especially compared to the G35 Sedan 6spd?

I thought Audi discontinued their free maintenance, as did MB....I think BMW is the only one left who still does that.

Audi's are cool, I'd never get one...but their not bad cars.

I am with MikeyMike on this one. I have always loved the look of Audis, but would never personally buy one. I will stick with my Japanese reliability.

check out the REVO flash for the new 2.0 T B7's. they become quick little things. running close to the G coupe. goes up to 21psi on stock turbo. my cousin has it on his B7. REVO is also looking to get a stage 2 flash which is supposed to put it in the low 13's.

I just bought an A4 with the 3.2V6, still comes with four year/50k miles free maintenance. I just can't say how much I love this car-and no rattles for the first two months.

Personally I just can't get used to their new look. The back and the sides look alright but the new front grill just doesn't work for me. Every time I see one it just looks awkward. Long term reliability seems to be questionable from what I've heard. I assume this is due to the FI engines??? On paper Audi has some exciting vehicles but the above two factors keep me looking elsewhere.

I really like their N/A motors, the 3.2L V6 mentioned above is solid - it'll be a nice addition to the A3 line too. That said I'll never buy another Audi again. Just personal opinion, but they reamed me pretty bad so no more of my money for them.
