The CL's have 260 hp....but not that much torque.

The VQ is a friggin bull in a cage compared to the CL's 3.2 6 cyl VTEC engine.

CL-S isn't a waste of money. It is a nice car and can actually be made faster easily than a G35. I had a 02 and loved it except the dreaded transmission issues.

It ran 14.1 at 99.8 mph with just headers. And it was a automatic.

CLS are nice cars. Its very fast from 0 - 60 but after that most of its muscle are gone. I know cause I traded my 2001 CL Type-S for my G sedan. I missed the touch screen NAVI on my CLs still but G put the fun back into driving for me.

Actually about 110 mph once it shifted to 4th gear it was a dog. That is when it has no power. See the trap speed.

i'm sick of front wheel drive now. the cl isn't bad but the transmission did have issues unless it was the 6-speed models.

The CL-S is a nice car. My ex had one when it first came out and it was a really nice car. But yeah it had to have its tranny replaced.

Wow....the CL Type S must really have tranny problems because my brother's certified pre-owned one needed a new one after one year. Thank god for warranties, lol.

My buddies 02 TL type s needed a new tranny around 30K and then needed another at about mid 50's. That was one of the reasons the TL was never on my shopping list.

G35Tx I dissagree with you about modding made easy. Compared to the G35, there isn't very much stuff out there for the CL/TL. Since the G35 shares a lot with the Z, there is way more stuff out there.

Actually, the CL/TL market has quite a bit of aftermarket support. As G35_TX mentioned, Comptech headers give gains of around 20whp, and their 3.2 liter motor gets adequate gains from other simple bolt-ons as well.

Yeah. I remember the comptech headers were worth a lot of hp on the honda v6 motors, althought it was mostly at the top end.

The VQ motor has a lot of midrange power. I wish there was a way to increase the top end. If you look at almost all VQ NA dyno graphs, the torque begins to fall off at around 5k.

The only thing I never liked about the CL was that it was as large as a boat. Why the heck is it so big?

It really isn't as big as you think. Due to its design with the point up front it makes it look bigger than it really is.

It's actually smaller than my G35.
