Mallett V8 Solstice?!

If this is a re-post just let me know but i ran across this little beast online and in the most recent car and driver.
http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dl...VEHICLEREVIEWS

I'm sort of amazed that that article says its base price is under 40k, however c&d says its base is closer to $48k. In either case its a solstice with an ls2, waht a monster that little thing could be. It even says Mallett will supercharge a new ls7 (for the right amount of money).

In anycase i was sort of amazed by this thing

I find it interesting that they can fit a 5.6L ls2.... or even a 7.0L ls7 into the space where the solstice had its 4 banger. Anyone esle wanna drop an ls2 into a g35? (i know thats not really possible)... but you could you imagine a g56 or a g70 for that matter. lol

I don't see how you can fit a v8 in that thing. The engine looks like it's taking up every inch of space. I would think the interior would have to be comprimised by the transmission. Cooling looks like a problem, too, since there doesn't look like any space for a decent radiator. Pretty cool, though. I wonder what kind of performance times it puts down.

One of the many advantages of the small block pushrod V-8: lots of power from a small physical size. You could never fit a DOHC V-8 in that space.
