Runs results: 06' coupe 5AT vs 03' C32 AMG

Just did a couple of runs under a controlled environment (semi-private road) today with my friend's c32, here are the results and conditions:

Shared conditions:
Weather: Cloudy
Temperature: 7 celsius
Road: Smooth, flat
Load: AC off, no other passengers, no heavy items in cars.
Fuel: 94 octane

The cars:
06' coupe 5AT + sport + navi, 19" OEM with Blizzak LM-25, H&R Springs, 3200km, 1/4 tank of gas, VDC off (125lb driver)

Stock 03' C32 AMG, 17" AMG double-spoke OEM with Pilot Sport, 16000km, 1/3 tank of gas, ESP off (160lb driver)

The results, all in km/h (it's Canada here ):
10-150 (twice): g half a car ahead until 100, then c32 walks away starting 100
20-150: same as above
40-150 (3 times): even, c32 walks starting 100
50-160: even, c32 start to walk starting around 95

Major factor worth consideration:
Summer tires on c32 and winter tires on g35

Conclusion:
Based on the results, as we've predicted, the g is quite dead even in 1st and 2nd gear, after that, c32 will walk in any speed above 100.

Feel free to chime in guys!

These runs in the wet are meaningless since traction is already an issue
for the C32 in the dry.
You guys have been planning this for some time and
you pick a rainy day to race two RWD cars???

lol... i understand. we didn't plan this, we're just good friends and had some time to spare.

but i doubt that traction is a problem lets say a roll from 40 or 50.

In the wet, I bet that C32 could still spin quite a bit
at 50 mph.

Give it a go on the same road in the dry, let us know what
happens, even though we really already know what the outcome
is going to be.

hmm, you tested the cars when they were raining? not only is that not the results that people really are interested in, but it's also kinda dangerous. not lecturing, but just be careful. whenever it's not completely dry, there's some variables you can't account for. even when it is completely dry, something stupid can happen.

either way, an AMG will always own a G35 w/o FI.

i'll sure post back when i get a chance in the dry.
Once again, SPEED POSTED IS IN KM/H

I lost by about 1.5 car lengths by 140km/h from a roll.
