There was a topgear episode where he was just bashing the m5 and the m6 the whole time, and he's like but still I really want one.

well I mean jermey clarkson is an amazing tester and all that stuff, but he is used to driving supercars, so I wouldnt expect him to say anything great about it, but I would love to see him drive the G and have them take it around the test track to see what lap time the stig would get

This guy is so used to rating cars like the Mclaren F1 & Lamborghini Murcielago & so on. He ends up comparing how the 350z drives in comparison to cars that cost 3x to 40x what the Z costs. Every car tested is always the most expensive & sportiest model. Like the M5 rather than a 540i or the AMG model of the Mercedes. I have to give him this though, he really knows how to drive.

top gear did a review of 3 roadsters, the z, the crossfire and the audi tt. the old guy liked the audi because of its sequential manual that uses 2 clutches. the young guy really like the z because it was faster than the other cars and had better grip. the third guy liked the crossfire. so they each drove the other cars and then the old guy admitted he like the z. (alhtuog he said, he would try to put it in 3rd and he would end up in 5th - this happens to me too, but i don't daily drive a ford gt like that guy does). anyway, they ended up liking the crossfire the most. which is consistent with what my friend said after driving the g and crossfire back to back on a race track. he said the g is a boat (weighs too much?) and the crossfire is nimble as hell. another one of my friends got sponsored to test drive another set of cars including a c6 and an slk350. he said the slk350 was the best car in the bunch. so i guess the slk is a good car. (for those who don't know, crossfire=slk).

Actually, I think it was just that one episode that he said he didn't like it. On the later episodes, he didnt think its so bad.

Tiff Needell drove the 350Z and he reviewed it and loved it. He is much of a better driver (Clarkson is more of a comedian) and he loved the 350Z.

Eh. Clarkson always liked to go against the trend. He didn't like the McLaren F1. He didn't like the new M5/M6 except for the performance. He knocked on the Pagani Zonda. All these cars were raved on by everyone else. He's hating on these cars just for the sake of argument.
