r34 no more.

I don't know if this is the right forum or not. I just figured it was good info. The owner of motorx has been arrested and his bail 1Mil. I read it on another forum. the government has stopped the importing of all r32's and 34's. the 33's are safe for now.

The good news is that you can still purchase a brand new V35 at Infiniti dealerships.

G35 > Skyline

All hail to the Infiniti logo.

What was he arrested for? and why would his arrest affect the import of those cars? Was he laundering money through his business or something where they shut him down?

Here is what i found...

Recent information leads us to believe Hiro Nanahoshi founder of MotoRex is currently not doing business through G&K for their EPA work, due to some bad business transaction or lack there of. We are told Hiro has the Motorex warehouse filled with unlegalized skylines awaiting completion. But since no more progress is being made, they sit there motionless collecting dust. Through recent information provided from link above, we see customers are now starting to take legal action against MotoRex to recover their loses. Obviously if this manor continues which is highly likely, Motorex will become but a distant name & remain no more.

If this bankruptcy does happen, then thoughts of buying MotoRex's Confidential crash test information may possibly become for sale. Since no importation company can currently federally legalize a Skyline without it.

There is speculation to believe G&K will continue where MotoRex left off continuing to legalize Skylines once again.

this forum even posted a link to his arrest log at the l.a. county sheriffs...

Wonder what the charges are... I used to think MotoRex was the she-it when they supposedly crashed tested and did all things necessary to legally import GT-R's. Even looked into buying one from them, if i hit the lotto

We tried to import an R34 last year but it had to be registered only as a Show car or track car, still a non-op. There was also some list we had to try and get on regarding imported cars, but it just didn't happen. It is not legal to drive on the roads per DMV per DOT because of crash tests and emissions. We are still working on it. Getting into the US is not too bad, but driving it home, next to impossible "legally".
