What motivated you to get The G Ride?

With all the hot rides on the road, for some it might have been a tough choice and for some it might have been real easy. What was it that made you finally get the G35?

Just the fact that it is a totally badass car, and one of the hottest ones at that. Great look, good performance, and just downright cool.

Since an M3 or 330 are the altimate driving machines, the G35 is the next best thing in an overall package, with much better price and longer warranty. I only wanted a 6speed rwd car with a decent performance, so there was not much to think about there, easy choice.

Thumbs up G35 Coupe

I looked at several other cars, before choosing the G35 Coupe, including the BMW M3, Ford Mustang GT, Porshe Boxter S, Nissan 350Z, Toyota S2000 and the Chevy Corvette.

I chose the G35, over the others, based on serveral factors including; performance, price, quality and style. To me, it beats the competition in the combined factors.

I also owned an I35 and have several friends who own the FX, G35 sedan and M45 and we have all had positive experiences with Infiniti.

Its Porsche and I dont believe Toyota makes the SK2.

For me, I fell in love with the car when it came out in 03. Never looked at any other cars.. went to the dealership and picked one up. No regrets. I still look out the window at work and smile at how beautiful the G is.

the reason i went for the G instead of the Z was cuz of the spring loaded nav and better interior. But why i got the G instead of other cars? mod friendly, looks nice, and not many were around (at the time)

There was never another choice for me.

As soon as it came out in 03 I wanted it. Badly. Because of a future condo purchase and massive student loan payments, I was forced to postpone purchasing the G. I anxiously waited for 2 years to get a pre-owned ride. That period of time was agonizing - everytime I saw a G on the road, I drooled. And that exhaust note... man, oh man. It was pretty sad really.

The first thing that grabbed me was its appearance. To me, the G almost looks exotic. I don't think there's a car out there at this price range (or even $10K above) that looks even remotely as nice. The G is going to look awesome for a long time. I also wanted to a ride that looked sophisticated and modern with enough umph to be fun to drive. I didn't want to have to modify my car for decent performance. The other cars out there are either nice looking with so-so performance, or great performers with ho-hum looks. And even the cars that are considered nice looking with great performance end up costing many thousands more.

Bottom line: For me personally, nothing out there compares to the G.

My only regret with the G is the "bleh" performance. It was certainly acceptable (or I wouldnt have bought it), but it just doesnt give me the seat of the pants feel that I crave. I guess the mods will have to take care of that part. All in all, I love the car!

It was this or an Evo. And for some reason the looks give it so much more of on OOO factor compared to an Evo. Now I think an Evo looks mean as hell in the front but this car is just sexy sexy.

The G afforded me everything, which I was looking for at the time and the purchase price was by far the best in the past 20 years.

my story:
I was in the market for a skyline... and I found one.. then realized that parts would be close to impossible to find (in lebanon) and shipping them in and w/e would cost me an arm and a leg everytime... despite I had the GT-R lined up and everything (1999 GTR V-Spec Grey, 7,000km @ 50,000$USD in Japan)
so I started looking at other prospects:
SLK55 AMG: too many of them around these parts.. and I didnt like the drive
M3: my dad hates that car with passion cuz he knows it is fast
Porsche Cayman: wasnt released yet
350Z: bope.. prefered the g to it
Z4: my bro has one

only choice left was G35 in that category

the fact that there were only 15 of them in the country was appealing
