Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Is it just me or.?

Here is the most awesome Ferrari that I have seen apart from the Enzo.

However, in profile, doesn't it bear a striking resemblance to a SUPRA?!?!?

Did Pininfarina just sleep walk through this?

I'm sure that it looks nothing like that in person but even from some angles it evokes that Supra look for some reason.

Um, I highly doubt Pininfarina "sleep walks" through anything. They're one of the most acclaimed automotive design houses in the world.

Produce enough cars and eventually some of them will appear similar.

Oh don't get me wrong. I LOOOOOOVE Ferrari. Ever since I was a little kid in the mid 80s I fell in love with the 512BB and the 84 T'Rossa. And when the Enzo came out, I was floored! And now this is out and I want to buy one! Screw the house! I'll rent a shack and drive this around! LOL...

BTW, I love Supras too.

must see the real thing.... a side profile is not good enough to determine a "sleep walk".....

It is a Ferrari through and through. Look at that interior and engine which is derived from the Enzo pumping out 620HP. No mistaking that for a Supra for sure.

The side profile is my main point of contention here.

This car is ASTONISHING to say the least. POWERRRRRRRRRR!!!!

From the side it also resembels a vette up front.

Not sure if it's the new pedestrian safety crap messin up the front end, but that whole fang look on the lower front fascia is perhaps the most homely design flaw to grace a Ferrari, imho. For me the Modena represents the high watermark in beautiful Maranello cars. The most recent cars, Enzo, 430, Scag- none of these cars, despite their phenomenal performance, would I consider to be beautiful, per se. This most recent addition, the new GTB, is no better in this regard (though not as slab-sided as the 612). I wouldn't kick any out of the driveway for eating crackers, but still, function has over-ridden form in these cars, to the detriment of design.

That's what I was thinking. From the side too.

Sick ride nonetheless.

ive been saying for a few years now (ever since the first time i saw it) that the supra without that wing on it (that 99% of them have) looks like an exotic.... dewinged the thing looks like it should have been made by ferrari... ive been saying it for a couple of years. YES 1 point for raznips in the cool book

o yeah and f-50 is still the most awsome ferrari... i dont care what the power plant is... that thing looks so damn sexy its unreal (had a chance to see one in a 12 car garage in a 3 million dollar house int he back of my 'hood It was some stock broker's.... he sold it and his house in 2000 for some reason and got some new career.... hmm wonder what happened on the job *ouch*

Very nice car. I have to agree the latest crop of Ferraris don't have quite as much beauty. I prefer simpler lines particularly in the front end.

I'm sure I could manage to love this one though.
