New bmw 335i TWIN TURBO!

Just read in Car and driver that bmw will be releasing a twin turbo version of the new 3 series coupe this summer with 302 hp and 295 lb/ft from an 3 liter inline six There are some photshops of the car and it looks clean for a bangle design. The price is said to be above 40K but I bet a decently optioned one wont be less than 50K. Looks like we got more competetion, ups the ante for the G37 ( or whatever it is gonna be called )

Its a 3 liter...and I am sure 1) BMW is not even pushing the turbo/engine anywhere near its potential 2) 300 Hp from BMW = more than 300 hp from most other manufacturer in real world 3) Its not gonna be long before someone finds a way to turn up the boost....either way the next G has to be packing atleast 330 hp to compete.

That's what I say. Imagine our motors making only 305hp with a TT.

Must be small turbos, probably will run out of breath quick but have great response. Shouldn't even be compared to an NA G35 for a comparison as far as performance goes, a G35 FI or G37 FI that comes stock from the factory sure would be nice and be able to hold it's own to something like that.

The other thing it's rumoured to have is the new ZSG trany.
BMW's version of Audi's double clutch sequential..

JMHO, this is great news....
It's got push Infiniti to new heights.

If this is what it looks like, it's much better than the sedan.

turbo's are obscenely responsive to simple modifications.

302 HP out of the cage will be the setup for a monster.

who said turbo's are easy to mod... they require good tuning.

50k is expensive but what do you expect it has a BMW badge on it, 3 litre engine with twin turbo must be boosting 5 psi. Is it a V6 too?... it must come with horrible mpg too.
