INFINITI QUALITY SUCKS * ( you have to read this)

Okay, first we have this on the weekend - MAF mysteriously blows out
yaaaay for infiniti quality ( )

Now this - today my dad was driving home and his passanger side window LITERALLY IMPLODED. (wish i had a digi camera but i did save the evidence ^_^ )

I don't mean it cracked and spiderwebbed, i mean it LITERALLY imploded and shattered glass all over the interior of the car.

****, that was scary. No other way to describe it

Taking this up w/ infiniti; there's NO WAY a window should IMPLODE magically by itself...........and this is what I don't get - shouldn't a window crack and spiderweb? Like I said, the window literaly IMPLODED inside the car because there's glass shard's all over the interior, front and back.

maybe a rock or something was thrown at it?

scary incident happened to my cousin. he was pulled over on the side of the freeway during the freeway shootings. a bullet hit his window and shattered it to a million pieces, BARELY missing his head

don't think so, we didn't find anything in the car.

ANd it's pretty hard to miss somebody standing in an empty expressway throwing stuff

I joked about being shot at, but there's no exit damage to the car or any type of object (other than broken glass) in the car

I read about it once like 4yrs ago on freshalloy. At the time I just figured 'oh, a rock probably hit it the wrong way or something similar'.

Now I know that my previous thinking was wrong

My POS mustang had fewer problems than me and my parents have had with our infiniti stuff.

BTW, YOU"D be pissed as all hell too if a window imploded inches from your face.

Never had a single problem with my car in any way. I had minor rattles which dealer fixed it surprisingly.

alright, you're talking about an I35 here. I don't want to sound like a dick but why are you complaining about a car that the automaker doesn't even make anymore? If I owned a Pinto, I wouldn't bitch if something happened to it. It's an extinct model! Besides, don't blame the car.. there was probably a great difference in cabin pressure and outside pressure that caused the glass to break (think airplanes). Riding up any mountains lately? Also, don't you think you could have kept your Infiniti quality sucking down to one thread?

I think a rock hit it. It happened to my brother in his '91 accord about 13 years ago. The window is suppost to shatter into small pieces to avoid jagged edges.

I don't think any window would just implode either.....
I suggest its a rock hitting the window too...... I heard some people's windshield got totally cracked by a rock coming from the car in front...... doesn't necessarily mean Infiniti quality sucks

Never happened before != Will never happen

So you read about it ONCE 4 years ago and now Infiniti's quality sucks?? This is hardly a reoccuring issue and IMHO your statement is just a tad over the top.

You compare the quality of a Ford Mustang with Infiniti with a straight face. Are you kidding me. When I read crap like this I just shake my head. Ford is the benchmark for crap. I agree with Wrah, sell it and leave.

How old is the I35 and I also believe something hit it. I have a peanut sized dent in my front windshield where a rock hit it. I also had a chip in my center console where a rock flew in when my windows were down. You never know, some young kids get a kick out of shooting BB guns or slingshotting passing cars. Windows don't just explode.
