BMW V10 M6 or Aston Martin V8 Vantage

I was thinkin I would start saving for one sweet sports car to drive after the G. I dunno which I should choose though, the BMW V10 M6 or Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I am looking at perfomance, servicability, basic wear and tear costs, resale value. Which would you choose?

i dont know about the above reasons your looking for to be honest....
but i'd def. go for the vantage without question.

I'd put aside the hype and test drive both, see what I really like.

But I'd probably go with the Aston Martin because they are all hand made, and you can order them to your exact speficiations as far as colors go.

Go to AstonMartin.com, pretty fun...you can choose just about every single color from the brake calipers to the headliner.

Have you seen the top gear episode where they compare the m6 to the v8 vantage to the 911. I think the vantage was on par with the m6 but it was very much the most beautiful car, and its exhaust note was sooooo amazing. I would go for the aston.

Aston Martin without a doubt. More class, more refinement, more exotic appeal on top of everything Mikey mentioned. The M6 is.... nothing, it has the dimensions and weight of a 4 door, but inside is pretty cramped and the rear seats are useless; it's not as a light and nimble as a Gt2/Gt3; it's only marginally faster than an M5 even though it costs $15K more; you can only get it in SMG - it's neither a stick, nor an automatic; and let's not forget that apart from the CF roof, BMW did a horrible job making the M6 distinct compared to the regular 6-series. Same hood, same fenders, no widebody, no side gills. Also the BMW Individual program is currently unavailable for the M5 and M6 in the US - meaning that you'll be stuck the only 7 factory colors to choose from. The M6 will be faster and more understated than the Vantage, that's for sure.

M6 = performance at its finest for 37000 lb car.
Aston = pure sex.

U do the math and see wich suits u more. Me personally i would take the M5 over M6 and aston over M6.

Aston is pure sexines one of the best looking cars in the world but ... I have seen a few episodes of top gear where they(the british) really complained about the reliability of it.

I'd go with the V8 vantage. More exclusive than M6 (probably). Too bad it isn't faster. Only 380hp? For a car that much, I would hope for at least 400hp.

Aston is a rare car and possibly the best looking car out there indeed. You get tons of attentions. M6, on the other hand, commoners' car. There is no comparison between them, one is hand made and the other is mass produced. Totally two different breeds.

Resale value should never be in your equation on any of those top end cars. They all drop like a rock. However, the Aston will probably worth more 50 to 60 years from now. If you live that long.

Hard to say... Now that Aston Martin name is made by Ford Motor Company, I think Aston Martin has lost some of its class and quality. Maybe I'm wrong. Then again, it is one sexy beast.

Come on now. Aston might be owned by Ford, but they don't touch the label. Thats like saying its build on the same line as the explorer in hickland kentucky.

Or infiniti, is built at the US plant w/ the titan!

Lincoln is one of the top rated, its a ford.
