Prior to owning a Viper, I debated for about 4 months between the Viper and NSX. I posted several threads on other forums and it was about 50/50 between the two. Don't get me wrong, I Love my Viper, but there's still alittle something inside of me that wonders "what if I chose the NSX". Well right now I have an oppourtunity to own one. I found a guy that's selling his 2000 Monaco Blue NSX-T. His asking price is $48,900.00. The car has 60k on it. If I were to sell my Viper, I'd ask about 50-55k for it. I took a look at his car today. Veru nice condition. We negotiatec and came up with a trade, my car for his, and he'll pay me $2,000.00 on top of it. Taking his asking price of $48,900 and adding $2000 makes out to be about $51,000 for my car. I'll thinking seriously about doing this. Your thoughts?

What is the mileage and condition of your Viper? What kind of driving do you do in the Viper? Is the NSX going to be for meets, tracking or grocery getting? This may make a difference when/if you decide to trade. I understand what you mean when you say that there is something inside of you wondering what if, but come on - the Viper has what most people desire in a weekend racer/muscle car - loud exhaust, power, instant notoriety. It will have a broader audience in the states as compared to the NSX. This means that if you decide to sell the Viper in a couple of years, people will still want your car - whether young or old. This is not saying the NSX does not have takers. It just means more people MAY go for the Viper over the NSX if they are looking to add a weekend car to the garage. Also, the Viper has a mystique and such an aggressive appearance that you immediately know what it is when you see it.
On the other hand Not sure if your Viper has AC and sound, but if all you are using it for is driving around town and occasionally showing off on the road - then get the NSX. I have owned a 2002 and the car is much more civilzed than the Viper. Be sure to check the compression on the NSX before you do the deal. Good luck with whatever you choose. Sounds like you can't go wrong either way. |

dcam has a good point.
The viper is a much more raw, powerful drag car while the nsx is more of a nimble track car. Personally I'd pick the viper just because I've always loved them. |

The Viper is so much more of a show stopper... I would stay with the Viper

If you are going to track the car... get the NSX; if you just want to turn some heads and look.. or raw power for weekend drag racing; keep the Viper
personally, I will take the NSX

Daily drivability I'd say NSX... I'd take NSX over Viper regardless but ESPECIALLY if its for a daily driver
